We stopped in for a late lunch after shopping in town (we are from a neighboring state). Service was slow - maybe short staffed? We saw only one wait staff. Food menu was limited. Food was good. I had the wedge salad and spouse had battered fish. We ordered the house made chips - best I’ve ever had. Looked like more people go for the alcohol than food. Nice nod to the town’s history. Very clean. Good use of space for seating options whether two or ten.

Atmosphere was nice, not too crowded, and the Old 97 burger was absolutely delicious! The fried green tomato was a unique addition that added to flavor. Service was great!

The service was remarkable!! The owner came out and checked on us. Build a sandwich is my favorite because I'm a picky eater. The drinks were well thought out and a nice selection of beer and wine.

This restaurant "Old 97 Tavern" isn't very skibdi ? First of all I have been waiting for over an hour to get my food. ? ? There has been like 5 different parties that came in after me that got their food and left before I even got my food? Which I'm pretty sure that would be ABSURD!! I'm pretty sure the waitress forgot to put our order in. We gave them an extra 10 minutes and nothing. We paid for the drinks and walked out. Maybe this place is good, but my experience was trash.

My friends had the Blt, grilled cheese, Caesar salad, and the broccoli cheddar soup and loved it. I had fish and chips, and it was good. The food is served on metal trays and parchment paper, so the fish got soggy. Overall, it was tasty. The chips were nice. I think they should be offered with the Cajun seasoning to make the meal have a bit more flair. We will probably return for lunch again. The menu isn't huge, so if you are looking for a huge selection, you will be disappointed. But for a casual lunch, brunch, or dinner, it's great.

Really wanted to like this place. It was a long wait for our app but it was busy. After we finished our app- we’ve been here almost 45 minutes at this point, the server brings one entree and informs us they are out of what my husband ordered. Given the wait for the food my husband decided to not order anything else. Waitress does apologize but at this point dinner was basically over/. Food was okay.

The food was aweful ..Got the old 97 Burger would be ashamed to serve such a small piece of so called meat not real frozen soy been Burger for 15 dollars.. fries cold ..had a party of ten my food and another persons Burger didn't come out till everyone else had finished..was hoping for a lot more with such Limited menu especially
