I just want to get on here and say that red crab in Danville Virginia strikes again . My mom has already dealt with racism prior but it has been some time so I decided to give it another go only because my significant other wanted to try it out , anyways we were served with who I believe to be the manager which I didn’t even get her name due to the chaos of the situation / everything started off fine I ordered loaded crab fries and my bf got fried calamari . When it was brought out I didn’t get any crab meat on my fries and all of the cheese sauce was on the bottom not to mention I had a few overly toasted fries , when bringing this to her attention I told her I would like more crab and the cheese sauce wasn’t any barely on top , she stated how she was “looking at the crab “ and how it was “on the plate “ and walked away…. Anyways I told her for a second time I wasn’t satisfied with the dish neither was my bf due to the dough being undercooked on his fried calamari so she proceeds to pull out a fork with an attitude and started sticking the fork into my food rubbing it around roughly checking for the crab which she clearly didn’t see either to have to look so hard for it , so I told her that it was rude how she didn’t even ask permission to check the food or take it to the back for a recheck she literally randomly started digging all around the food with a fork she stated that “I was complaining and if I want to get a manager she is the manager so welcome to red crab “ … she then snatches the plates from us literally snatched them without asking or telling us what she would do . After that words were indeed exchanged but no threats involved. My boyfriend confronted her about the food and she decided to call 911 on him like a Karen ….. based on the report she told them that he was “acting like he had a gun “ which was completely messed up and dishonest ! He was upset but he did not approach her as if he was going to hurt or harm her in any type of way , he was trying to get an understanding on why she snatched the plates and shoved a fork in my food rudely . Right upon leaving after paying for our drinks and not the food due to her taking it off the ticket and being that we didn’t eat it , the police arrived ….. they patted my boyfriend down for a gun and of course didn’t find any weapons on him but why lie and say a gun was involved when one wasn’t even mentioned ? That was very odd and so profiling . I feel like she wanted something bad to say about him to alarm the cops and cause a situation that could’ve gotten him hurt . It made me beyond upset . The officers that were on duty wasn’t very helpful or seemed sincere to hear our side of the story when we have witnesses that seen what had happened! I wish I would have just stayed far away from this place to begin with and upset because I went against my judgment and my mom’s experience and decided to go with my boyfriend to enjoy a meal …. My day was ruined by also respect just wasn’t giving to neither one of us and I’m so upset that it happened the way that it did , very uncomfortable because I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have treated the guys next to us in that manner . I've been here a handful of times and everytime the food and overall experience is IMMACULATE! The food is cooked to perfect and you don't even need to try to get the crab meat out. Every piece came out in a solid chunk *chefs kiss*. Their wings are amazing too. Crunchy and juicy. Also huge and not fatty. Highly recommend trying this place if you haven't been!

First time there and all 4 of us loved the food, everything we got was great, lobster tail, shrimp, clam, crawdads oysters, sweet potato fries. The waitress was very polite, and helpful with helping us decide on what to get. I highly recommend this place, and will be going back again.
Mostly a boiled bag place.I tryed the fried fish and it was mushy and bad.Frys tasted exactly like the old grease the fish was cooked in.

The Red Crab in Danville is very nice. The server was just ok and acted like she had better places or things to do. I had the sausage, shrimp, and crab legs with lemon garlic sauce, and he had the crab legs and shrimp with cajun sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked.
