Would not take order ar stall, was told to get in drive thru line, we go drinks in slushy cups and open tops, was told they were out , also no ketchup upon request, rudest employees I've ever encountered

At 8:50 pm (open until 11 pm), ALL of the exterior lights were turned off, including the menu sign. We thought the place was closed. Only 2 vehicles were in the parking lot - probably the 2 employees'. We drove to the menu sign and ordered. We told the 2 people working the drive-through window that ALL the lights were out but they apparently did not believe us.
The food was fine. The Diet Dr. Pepper lacked enough syrup and carbonation. It needed adjustment.

I went on a busy day apparently, just wanted to get some of Sonic's bag ice. There was a line wrapped around the building. Service was slow, and seem like they had only one car hopper that was delivering food, and drinks. I push the red sonic button for 2 bags of there Ice, while one of the staff said they don't have any ice. Which was unbelievable. For sonic has tons of ice. Hell I have worked for sonic about 7 years. And for someone to say they don't have any bags of ice. This sonic rubbed in a bad way. Poor service, no urgency to get the cars moving for they were wrapping around the building and into the street. I will not return, and don't recommend this sonic.

I ordered a lemonade with strawberry through the app. When I got i, it tasted like water with strawberry syrup. I complained about it, and they remade it, but add a lot more strawberry syrup.

Lazy people who do not want to do their job. I did a mobile order for two slushees . No one there, no one in drive through. After twenty minutes… I had to ask if anyone was going to make our drinks.. Ridiculous… The manager should fire them all and hire employees that actually want to work…if I could give zero stars I would… this isn’t the first time I have received crappy service either…

Ordered ahead while sitting in parking lot of Sonic in Danville VA after being told drive in only.
Waited a long time past the time stated order would be ready. Order arrived with cold hot dogs and overcooked oil soaked cold fries. Please do better Sonic.

Do not go here unless you have 30-40 mins to wait for your order. I've been at different times of day, different days of the week, in an attempt to give them the benefit of the doubt. They are chronically understaffed and this is a consistent issue.
I waited for 35 mins for my breakfast this morning, and was given the wrong drink.
Management needs to get this straightened out!

This restaurant has always had terrible service and extremely long wait times. From my understanding of what I've been told, this location has recently had a shift in management. Nothing but teenagers running the place now.

As a Doordasher, I can tell you no dasher around town wants to take orders from here. Always wait times so long that it's never worth waiting for. The last two orders I took from there,they could not make any shakes or ice cream claiming the machine was down. The same excuse you always got from mcdonald's. The same excuse that ultimately lost them a class action suit.

The best advice I can give regarding Sonic is to do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to eat at. You will only be disappointed here.

It would seem that a place with spiraling reviews who try something different.
The same complaints arise over a span of 1.5 years and the problems seem to persist. The response from management is the the same, they are sorry you are dissatisfied, they understand your frustration, please take time out your day to contact the automated customer service hotline.
Today's no different. From the sign on the speaker declaring that they don't have coins (really? The bank prints coins all day long), to the announcement stating what they aren't serving, to the friendly employee who is just angry and annoyed that I dared disturb her with an order during working hours.
Realistically, it seems Sonic retains business from people, like me who either hold on to hope or have a nostalgic connection. But, since the car docks are closed, the food offerings have dropped in quality and drive through service is iffy, how long will that last?
Really, what is the reason for your existence? A few will miss the idea of Sonic, but once a place figures out good ice and Cherry Limeade, how much longer will anyone care you are gone?
Tighten it up fellas, times are tough.

Took a 40 minute ride to Sonic pulled into the car hop area. Sat waiting for over 20 minutes after pressing the button to order, was finally told it’s drive through only. Got in the drive through line and sat in that for another 30 minutes then were told they are out of burgers. Placed an order for only one of our group and they had us wait another 5 minutes or so just to ask to repeat the order. At least post some signs, this was truly unacceptable.
