I Love small town diners and I was REALLY hoping to add this one to the list. My mother and I happened upon Stateline Diner on our way to Caesars waiting on our family to make their way into town. They were very busy and we were in no rush so we knew we were happy to wait. The servers were noticeably short staffed but still very pleasant as they cleared a table off for us to sit. We overheard them tell a table next to us the wait for food is about an hour. That seemed reasonable with how busy they were and how under staffed it appeared and we were still willing to wait. After much time had passed after our order had been taken and a few cups of coffee later, we realized the restaurant had nearly cleared out, most tables had eaten, including most of the customers who had come after us. Much of the customers who sat down after we arrived were now paying and leaving and we had still not received our food. Customers who we had not seen enter the restaurant prior, were now receiving food and we realized we had now been there an hour and a half. My mom spoke with the server and she said there was still another ticket ahead of ours. We had never seen service like this...for a salad and bacon and eggs. We decided just to pay for our coffee and go. We didn't get upset with the servers. They were nice. However there didn't seem to be any management or ownership around. An establishment known to be this busy on weekends shouldn't be this understaffed. They should be better managed. That was incredibly unprofessional. We will never return.

Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building. This quaint diner has home style fresh prepared food in generous portions. Friendly waitreses and staff. Unique recipes and great quality. Fun decorations. Busy at lunchtime. Ask for your veterans or senior discount.

Quaint, unassuming restaurant right near Caesars Casino. Down home cooking diner with excellent pricing. Had breakfast which was typical but the biscuits were outstanding. Service was excellent and food was very tasty.

Always go there with my dad and his friends for breakfast or lunch. The staff always welcome my dad, some give him a hug and call him by name, joke with him, and make him feel special. It warms my heart to see my super senior dad so happy when we go there whenever we're in town. We all like their service, food, and value.

Went twice in 3 days. Entirely locals and lots of them! They know what’s up. Great service friendly with just the right amount of chat. Fast and efficient. The menu is staples done right. The cornbread was best I ever had. The fried chicken , yeah it was breakfast but why not get a perfect moist piece of hot juicy chicken. I love a southern diner. I travel the south for a living. And have been to hundred.. This bumps off the perfect hamsteak in Logan Utah as the best ever.! You would be be missing something in Danville Va if you went anywhere else.
