Great food, good prices, a Danville tradition. The Steak and Shrimp was fantastic. The shrimp was fresh and crispy without being rubbery. The steak was a good cut, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Great experience.

I went the other night and the kid on the register wouldn't let me pay for the buffet and and steak dinner to go she said to tell the waitress and use my card twice. Don't understand why I have to pay twice for my order. New employees need more training and better manners... and the lady in front of me had a senior discount on the buffet and adult buffet and they charged her $44.00.... Unbelievable and I did speak up.... the new girl was confused and acted like she didn't care!!! This was my second visit with the same issue...... but the food was pretty good not the girl on the register...... Need more Training!!

Y'all, the buffet is BANGIN. The buffalo wings alone make it well worth the price. Plus everything else I tried there was delicious too. But those wings!!! Yes.My only issue was that it is set up in a confusing way, and there wasn't really anyone to direct us at first. But other than that, I couldn't be more pleased!

Food was fresh and cooked great. They kept the buffet filled. However the front of house staff need some training. Numerous times I seen 4 to 5 servers standing around talking when there were many tables that needed to be clean. The girls that took our money and order said sit ourselves so it took us a minute or two to try and find a clean table. Also the girls at the register were a little rude and unprofessional. Our server was great, although he never told us his name! Very tall guy but was very kind

Food was great. Service was impeccable. Seating way too close together. Not enough room to pull your chairs out or walk between tables.
The food is great most of the time, and so is service. However the younger staff needs be trained how to be more professional and respectful cause it's been some issues recently where some have come off rude and unprofessional. Those have been new employees to my knowledge.. Dwayne does a fantastic job as well as a few others who are the veteran staff there. I also think Western Sizzlin should start selling the t shirts.. because I'd like to buy one.

The Gas Man
We were a large party of 18 and had four more join us at the last minute. This did not phase the staff one bit and the service that they gave us was amazing. I have the buffet and even though it was late in the evening, nothing ran out and everything tasted fresh like ilt had just been made. If you live in Danville or you are visiting then you want a good honest meal with great service. This is the place to go.

We were visiting from out of town. The fish and chicken were very salty. They never brought out any fresh chicken baked or fried during our almost 1 and a half hour stay. Even the desserts lacked taste. Our local family described the restaurant as "hit or miss", well it's obvious that we came on a "miss" day. The air wasn't working properly and it was very warm inside. It was very clean and the staff were very nice. Our server was on point and made sure that our cups stayed full. The time spent with family made the experience better.

They have switched over to payment being made when you go through the serving line to order your food whereas in the past 40 years give or take you would order then sit and pay on your way out. You have to tip in advance of service if paying by card .This also caused the loss of the 2 girls at the old register taking people's payments and causing longer wait times to order and be seated. I don't mind this method although i have a big problem of how this affects the servers (waiters and waitresses) . They are no longer tipped separately in envelopes with each servers names but as a whole; not being tipped whether you go above and beyond or a server that does the bare minimum makes no sense. The food is good, service is great and decent value for your money but our restaurant servers are being penalized for trying to do a good job and being tipped accordingly. As a future reminder bring cash to tip in person because this new way of paying is better for the owners but not the workers.
