We been ordering lunch for the last couple of months at this location, the food is always good and fresh. The service its always great, definitely one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area 10/10

This isnt an eat in restaurant, but thats fine. The food is so good. Ive literally never had a bad experience after ordering here for 12 + years. Quick delivery and excellent customer service.

And hour and a half after I ordered delivery I called to find out where the order was. The person who answered, said it had been delivered. Apparently the driver left it between my doors. How would I know that? Never knocked, never rang the doorbell. How would I know it had been delivered? Even if I had requested contact less delivery, which I did not, they would still need to knock, or ring, to advise you the food was delivered. The food had no spice, though the dishes we ordered were labeled as spicy, and had no flavor in general. The egg rolls were definitely from the frozen section of a grocery store. Very sadly disappointed in this place.

THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY, ordered online, just for it to say the purchase didn’t go through. Yet when I opened my bank account, I had the amount for the purchase taken out. I then call them to see if it was a mistake on the website, just for them to tell me they never got my order or my money. To my avail after contacting my bank, they had in fact taken my money and lied to me, terrible service, if I could give a 0/5 I would.

Carryout and delivery only. They get the job done. They're strictly business, not social.
Not a fan of the fried rice - it's more like yellow rice at this restaurant. Other dishes have been solid.

Beef broccoli was good
Combination lo mein was good
I don’t recommend the chicken fried rice. It was yellow and the chicken was gummy. No flavor
Over all not the worst but definitely not worth the money I spent.

This has been our favorite for 25 years.

Not authentic. Poor quality, taste awful, especially when compared to Chinese food I've eaten at the renowned Peking Gourmet Inn, Falls Church VA. Knew something was amiss when I notice Hispanic American preparing and cooking Chinese food.. smh..

Avoid this place. Anything is better. Portions are large and kinda gross. Sauce has no taste. This hole in the wall deserves to close. Honestly bummed I blew $40 here.

We continue our search for a very good Chinese restaurant within a 15 mile radius of Montclair. Some are just ok and some are terrible. None are phenomenal. This place is by far the worst.

Today was my first time ordering from Montclair Chinese Cuisine. They fall into the TERRIBLE category. Looks good but taste is vile. If I could give them zero stars I would. I just spent $39 for 2 orders of pork fried rice, lo mein, the Hunan Chicken lunch special, and an order of spring rolls (which were free). First I immediately noticed the color of the food was way off. The fried rice is mushy, awful tasting, and left a film at the back of my throat. The hunan chicken is also mushy and has a very weird taste. The lo mein is gummy and bitter tasting. The spring rolls were edible. I actually feel nauseous after eating a very small portion of the food. Even my 19 y/o grandson said it was bad. All of it is going in the garbage. What a waste of good money.

My recommendation - go elsewhere!

This place used to be a wonderful restaurant. All the dishes were very flavorful and extra extra clean. The situation has dramatically changed, they serve slop now that isn’t worth the money that’s being charged, and they are no longer clean. The delivery drivers act like they don’t have change to get more money, and they don’t want to wait for you to give them exact change. Terrible

Poor management with poor quality of food. It's too smelly that's why it is just take away. I cannot even breath here. I don't know how people eat this trash.

I considered Montclair a hidden gem. By far, the best Chinese in the Ashland Community, Woodbridge and Dumfries.
