Enjoy some of the finest Virginia wines. The new manager, Olivia, is knowledgeable and personable. I have been enjoying Shenandoah Vineyard for over 25 years. I was married in the Vineyard in 2004.
This was our first stop on the Plymouth wine trail after hiking the Mokelumne River Trail. Servers were nice and knowledgeable. My favorite wine was the 2023 Cabernet Franc which featured very deep fruit notes. Also the Sobon 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon which was husky with chocolate streaks. Loved all their wines!
One of the oldest wineries in Virginia. Wine has been produced by Michael Shaps since 2018 so you know it's gonna be good. This spot is much quieter than other locations in this area of the Shenandoah Valley (we were the only ones visiting). This winery is a throwback to how Virginia wineries were in the early '00s, before the word got out about the VA wine scene. No counter tastings - always a drawback in our book.
