Wine, sunshine, music, family, friends, dogs ❤️ Bravo
It had been a long time since I visited this winery and back then they were just getting started. I was pleasantly surprised to find they’ve been able to grow a bit and I really enjoyed my tasting and all of their wines. The young lady who did my tasting was very friendly and attentive. Nice place in a nice setting.
Their wine selection is so good! If you’re ever in the area, wolf gap is a great post hike treat plus their bread and pesto is so fresh.
Wolf Gap is the best! I love the wines, the atmosphere, the owners!
A good winery with good wines. The petit verdot was our favorite. It is a far better red wine than most wineries ate able to produce in the Shenandoah Valley. Super comfortable seatinv outside. Dogs are allowed everywhere!
I’ve been to Wolf Gap Vineyards several times now, and honestly, I should’ve written this review much sooner. Over the past few years, the winery has come under new ownership — and while I never visited during the previous era, I can say with full confidence that the current team has created something truly special.
JC and Janel, the new owners, are passionate about what they do. It’s clear they love the land, their wine, their staff, and the community they’ve built. Every visit feels warm and welcoming, like being invited into a family gathering where everyone’s glad you’re there. If you've had a less-than-stellar experience in the past, this is your sign to give Wolf Gap another try — you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, with panoramic views of the valley that are hard to beat. Whether you prefer a quiet tasting room experience or want to relax with a group on the pavilion, there’s a perfect spot waiting for you.
Also, be sure to say “hi” to one of my favorite staffers while you’re there, Ms. Cassie Boggs!! She’s professional, knowledgeable, and truly amazing. She knows her stuff when it comes to wine and hospitality, and I promise you’ll be in great hands with her guiding your tasting experience. You won’t regret it.
Don’t forget to check out their website or Facebook page to stay up to date on events. “First Friday” features a special food menu, and they often have live music on the weekends. Whether you’re local or just passing through between the Valley and the DMV area, make Wolf Gap a stop on your journey. You’ll be glad you did.
Absolutely gorgeous views! Fantastic customer service! Quite helpful with tasting and choosing, especially when you're not familiar with wine😊
Wines are great. They food is alway amazing and outside entertainment pavilion is extremely fun.

This place is very cool and beautiful. As are the views of the mountains. There is a tasting room, which we didn't visit. We were attracted to the outside covered patio with open tables and a wine bar. There, you can taste wines as well.We were greeted by Josh, the bartender, who was very serviceable and knowledgeable. I don't drink alcohol but my wife enjoyed their wines. Especially the Lobo Seco. She also brought home a bottle of their white sangria but was not impressed with the taste. They have live music at times.
We came here straight from hiking in Shenandoah National Park because it was one of the few dog-friendly wineries open on a Tuesday—and we couldn’t be happier that we did! The views are absolutely stunning - peaceful countryside - and plenty of space to relax. The atmosphere is laid-back and welcoming, and our dogs were just as happy as we were. The wine? Delicious. If you're in the area and looking for a relaxing spot with great wine and even better views—especially with your pup in tow—this place is a must. Highly recommend!
We had a great time at this winery! The bar on their covered patio is a great spot to hang out and try wines and listen to live music! Mark was our bartender and he went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. He guided us through a tasting of six different wines. We enjoyed the reds so much that we decided to try a bottle of Cabernet Franc. Wow! One of the best reds I've ever had. We even bought a bottle to take home, we loved it so much.
Gorgeous views and a great place to visit for any wine lover
Good wine, music and view. Clean moden restrooms, family and dog friendly. Nice breeze in the shade on a hot day. We had a nice afternoon relaxing in the pavillion.
