I was in the area last week, so I made the trip to Viola James because it kept popping up on my Face Book feed. I'm glad I stopped in. I had the buffet; there was such a variety to choose from. I had to get a little bit of everything, except the greens. It was like Sunday dinner at Mommas. The owner’s daughter was there to welcome me and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend them and will definitely return.

Sat down ordered tea. Owner ask what we wanted to hear. Played our song Tennessee whiskey. The waitress took our photos. It was like getting married again 🥰

This was one of the best meals I’ve had in forever extremely affordable lots of options. Everything just tasted like grandma‘s summer cooking some of the best barbecue I’ve had in Virginia, and that says a lot.
On the ride home back to Richmond I was thinking next time I have a reason to come down this way....
