Their wines are first-rate and the proprietors are friendly and interesting people. We sat on their expansive terrace with our dog and had an enchanting experience. We have sampled wines at dozens of Virginia vineyards and this is among the best.

Years ago , we loved going to local wineries but in recent years we’ve found the overpriced and underwhelming.
We do not find this to be true at Brent manor. Instead of doing the entire tasting, we chose 4, each was excellent! I cannot tell you which was my favorite.
The property is gorgeous with lovely seating inside and out.

We had a great visit this afternoon! It was extremely refreshing to have only adults in the tasting room! The owners were very friendly and knowledgeable! It was a great selection of wine. The winetails were a refreshing and a different option than most places we have been. The lemon crush was very good! We will definitely go back!

Write age restrictions on the website, please! I think what would be helpful for travelers is to write on your website adults only. We had traveled a long distance with our family to your winery and there were no age restrictions on the website a month ago. Unfortunately once we got there and found our seats the owner told us our kids could only be within 4 to 6 feet of our watch. If you are a parent of babies to 5 year old kids, you know that this is almost impossible. To save another family the hassle of loading your kids in the car and save gas money find another one of the surrounding wineries. Ninety percent of wineries in Nelson and Albermarle county are kid friendly. Please be more direct on your expectations on your website and save another family the frustration. They won't be upset reading that. They will really appreciate it and thank you! ❤️

This area is busting with wineries so if you can only visit one, you should know that Brent Manor Vineyards has something truly remarkable. You’ll find interesting Portuguese-style inspired wines along with other wines typical of this region- and all fantastic! There are also mountain views, a peaceful adult-only vibe, beautiful venue with seating inside and out, enthusiastic owners/winemakers, and a friendly cat.

NOT kid friendly! Upon arriving, we were approached by the owner saying that all children must be kept within 6 feet of an adult the entire time and that no toys were allowed on the premises due to their “liability.”
We immediately left to go find a more family-friendly winery. I wish we had known this and read more reviews before making the drive.
They might as well have a “no children allowed” sign upon entry.
No clue on their wines as it was clear we were not welcome, so didn’t stay around to find out.
Can I make this 6 stars? George & Tracy are amazing, knowledgeable and immediate friends. The venue is perfect & also built by the owner’s hands. We’ve been coming back for years, each time the wine is better— if you can believe it?! Obviously we will be back for more. This is a definite must during your time in CVille, Nelson County.. you’re in Virginia?? Just go.

We dropped by late on Friday after setting up our accommodations for the night (late like 445 when they closed at 530) and they were better than welcoming! They had a sweet cat that greeted us on the way in, and weren’t at all perturbed that we were the last in for the night. We tried everything they had to try, and liked it all! The reds are the favorites for us 4, and we left with a case of deliciousness.

If you are looking for that personal touch….come here. The owners run everything and are throughly amazing. They are very knowledgeable in their wines and love sharing that information with you. (Ps lots of ports and SO GOOD!) Would highly recommend. Great outside space/inside space and lots of options including tasting flights and glasses (and of course by the bottle too!) They truly care about their customers and offer a great experience and core memory day!
