Amazing Italian Sub and the macaroni salad too! Staff is so friendly and accommodating! I will definitely be back!
Wonderful sandwiches!!!
Pushy and annoying staff, I just want a sandwich.
Sandwich is a regular sandwich, not much different than making it at home. Tastes fine.
I hated my experience so much here.
Sandwiches are always DELICIOUS!!!
Friendly service and great quality ingredients.

The owner was Fantastic! Great customer service with a friendly atmosphere! I just peeked in for a say as I stopped at Dunkin' to get my coffee and noticed $7 for a sandwich and fries during happy hour! I tried it, and it was well worth the seven bucks! Good customer service is a rarity these days, and I highly recommend you check this spot out!
Amazing as always
Mixed Feelings
Pricing β Combo pricing NOT transparent. Sign on the window states $15.99 for a sub, drink & fries. In my experience, I pay between $18.00 to $21.00 for a combo, not including 10% tax & 3% credit card processing fee. Some toppings like Cherry Peppers cost extra.
Combo Pricing:
8β Spicy Italian = $20.00+ plus tax/CC fee
8β The Smokey = $23.00+ plus tax/CC fee
8β Egg Salad = $16.00 plus tax/CC fee
Quality β Great. Spicy Italian meat quality is much better than Subway.
Quantity β Meat portion size (Spicy Italian) is small, similar to Subway. However, bread size is much larger. I think the bread compliments the meats & toppings. Think Chipotle - Portion size is dependent on location.
Order Accuracy β 50%. Do not think because you repeated your order 3-times that you will receive the toppings you asked for. Always check you sub before leaving the store. Understand the owner runs the store by himself & this may lead to him rushing, getting sidetracked with phone calls, helping other customers, etc.
Final Thoughts β I donβt mind paying more for good quality food. Having said that, for larger portion sizes & better order accuracy, their Manassas location is best. If you do order from the Fairfax location, please double check your sub before leaving the store to ensure it has the correct toppings. As for the sign in the window advertising $15.99 combos, I feel that should be taken down as it is misleading.
A spectacular little Italian sandwich shop. Great place to go sip some wine and relax. Delicious sandwiches, and the service is impeccable.

Stopped by A Deli for the first time today and I am so glad I did. There was a very friendly gentleman behind the counter who greeted me immediately upon entering. I ordered an 8in Crazy Italian. While I waited I looked at the selection of italian food and wines. This place is awesome and the sandwiches, even better. I didn't think to take a picture because I devoured it so quickly. Will definitely be back!

OK, before I start. I'm a deli guy. No, I'm not Jewish or even from NY. I just frigging love subs, heros, whatever you wanna call em. So let's dig in. I had high hopes for this place. It's 12 mins away. Let's start with the website and menu. Perfection. Best deli website I've seen perhaps ever, under Katz's. The pictures give a good idea what the assembled product will be. Choices made and off you go. Order online or in person.
So I walked in on a Sunday. Place wasn't busy at all. Its authentic deli shop, which also sells wine. Sorta odd really. It's a bit cramp on walkability in the store. Limited seating while waiting.
Order 5 items. I tend to go all out on a new joint I visit. I wanna find the best.
Ordered Super Big A. 17 bucks mind you so my expectations was high. In one word. Eh. Next ordered Hot Pastrami, 8 inch. It was good, no real complaints. Portions however seemed a bit stingy. 12 bucks for this. Next Jersey Boy 12 bucks. - I did so being it's close to the Italian but with peppers which some what saved the sandwich. Next Bacon Double Cheddar cheesesteak. Picture looks good, but result was extremely disappointing. Missing ingredients, portion size was perhaps 2 sheets of steak'ums. You know what I'm talking about. And this thing was 12 bucks? I was left feeling jipped.
Perhaps it was the day. It was Sunday midday. So thought I'd try it again. Well sadly... It wasn't the day or the staff. Unsatisfying results. To which I know they could do better if they tried. Just due to your in Fairfax, step it up and represent. There's another deli off rt 29 which serves better product. In Herdon - "The Deli" still reins top dawg in my book. In Manassas, A-Deli is my goto. Super Big A, Chicken Bacon Ranch!
Sadly I won't be returning. It's over priced and at best satisfactory. To be perfectly straight forward... It's the same feeling when you goto McD and order the Big Mac. The size of the burger isn't even close to what you used to get years ago, and charged a more expensive price. You know what I'm talking about and if not... You obviously missed out.
Kid-friendliness: Would say no. Kids could be a problem due to limited space and wine bottles on display.

We had a Jersey boy and eggplant parm hoagie.
Their bread is perfect for this style sandwich. Meats and veg are good quality and fresh. Definitely adding this to my work lunch rotation.
