We have previously enjoyed eating here but at our last visit, we had a problem. The indoor table next to us had a dog at their table. These guests appeared to be workers or friends of workers so their table became a hangout with other staff coming over to admire and play with the dog. Then the workers proceeded to move another table over and bring a large tray of silverware to begin loudly wrapping the silverware into napkins. This was around 8 pm and needless to say it detracted from a pleasant dining experience.. I would be wary of going here if they allow dogs indoors at tables and if they allow their staff to congregate loudly near other diners.

Long wait for our food with two kids. $10.50 for a small bowl of spaghetti with butter for the kids. Waitress was nice but experience was not positive.

Nothing special aboit this place, but it's not bad either. There are better places in Mosaic District for a better value.

Alta Strada probably translates as "Throw hot peppers on it." I made the rookie mistake of not looking at the menu when I placed the reservation. Most of the dishes have pepper - and a lot - on the plate. If hot is not your jam, best move on. Service was best described as charitable. And my waitstaff is not my " friend" as I was referred to. Once the food was served she disappeared and was never seen again until well after we had finished. We watched the little tykes runnning around on the patio in front of the restaurant to stay amused and pass the time.

We had the best time!! Tom was amazing and finishing the meal with his famous cinnamon/sugar balls really brought the meal together. Tom's balls were so good we took them home to enjoy the next day

Seated us promptly. Menu is somewhat small, but food was freshly prepared and delicious. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Definitely worth the trip!

Thank you so much to Martha, Tom, Jason, Sarah, and the entire team who made my gathering at Alta today so special!! Martha really went above and beyond by arranging to have the surprise decor, balloon bouquet, and party favors for my guests and me! I was so overwhelmed by her thoughtfulness.

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area. You HAVE to order the garlic bread. I dream of that garlic bread. I also recommend the aperol spritz tower! Great location for date night or girls' night. The staff are always extremely friendly and professional and the atmosphere is lovely.

This place has been my to go to specially on my birthday. The food quality it's not the same.
It was six of us and Bill was two tundred plus (no big deal) but what really upsated me was the fact that on top of that waitress added over 30 dollars of tip and her service was horrible. I don't mind paying 20% tip sometimes i have paid more than 20% when service is great, however her service was not good but I guess just because it was six of us and she added the tip already she did not feel the need to be serving our table.
I gave 2 stars due to lack of service.

The food is good here, but the prices should constitute a war crime. $12 for meatballs? A bowl of pasta costs $20-30? A dinner for two here plus bread without even getting drinks is pushing $70. Crazy for Italian food.

Pretty flawless experience on a busy Saturday night. I made a reservations and we got the one outdoor table still available. The service staff was very attentive. The rose sauce on my pasta was perfect. Mocktail was tasty. Somewhat small menu but maybe that helps ensure the high quality of everything I tasted.
