Inside 99 Ranch, you order at a little kiosk. I came after seeing they had the one thing I’ve been craving since I left Taiwan, and that was the intestine soup. It’s rare to find around here and so I was happy to be able to eat it where I live. Although it didn’t come with much noodles and the soup wasn’t as thick as I am used to, the soup and pork was a lot so I was able to take it home and just add more boiled noodles to it. The fried rice was light and pretty big. I will definitely be sure to check out their other Taiwan dishes!

I ordered the pork intestine and pig blood soup, and I felt that the soup contained a lot of MSG or chicken essence! After eating it, I felt thirsty all night long and kept drinking water!

45 minutes after I ordered I went into the place expecting my order completed. But they said they didn't get my order. The girl was on her phone instead of doing her work. Then I had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. These people won't even get your order if you order online.

My heart goes out to Amore99. I want to give it 5-star but a couple factors that prevent that. First off, you cannot really find much of the Taiwanese foods here west of the beltway unless you go cross state borders and head to Rockville. The Taiwanese items are just ok and it really feels like Amore99 is cutting corners on ingredients, technique, and flavor. While I wouldn't mind the corners being cut, it is the price that just seems way too high for food items that fall short of the real authentic threshold. Nonetheless, I'm going to come back because several menu items were not available and it felt like a soft opening at this time. The only food items that are almost decent are TW sticky rice and TW meatballs. The stinky tofu leaves a lot of room for improvement and makes all our ancestors cry. So there are other items to try..... and opportunities to improve.

I ordered multiple things from this store, none of those are edible and not even worths the price.Fried chicken chop is way too thick, the Taiwan sausage with sticky rice and Taiwan meatball are terrible. The sausage is very little portion, the meatball is too salty with the ketchup sauce. The stewed pork rice is also a joke, they have tomato and egg as a side, which is like a dish cooked by first time cook.Don’t trust those reviews written in Traditional Chinese, apparently those are not real comments from customers. And to the owner, if you think that asking people from Taiwan to leave you a good comment is something good to do, the only result will be that people who have never been to Taiwan may think that authentic Taiwan food taste like this rubbish, then it truly hurts the reputation of dishes from Taiwan.
