From the minute our party of two entered, the staff greeted us warmly and were very polite. To start, the chicken karaage was perfectly seasoned, crisp, and temperature hot - no sauce needed. For my meal, I ordered the nigiri only Omakase (Chef Inspired Platter) which came with a miso soup and salad. The taste brought me back to Japan. Our meal also came with dessert in which we chose the green tea ice cream which did not disappoint! Everyone working was attentive, informative, and wonderful. Will be back and would definitely recommend!

There are so many positive reviews of Ariake. Here is one more. This is our first time at this restaurant.Ordered the fried oysters for an appetizer. Crispy. Non-greasy. Full of Oyster flavor.The Dinner Chicken Teriyaki Bento box - Lots of variety in the bento box.Assorted Sushi dinner - thick pieces of sashimi on top of sushi rice.Enjoyed every bit of our experience at Ariake. Wonderful food. Very attentive Service. Welcoming atmosphere.Previous to trying this restaurant, all I see is a converted Pizza Hut restaurant. Now, when I pass by this restaurant, all I see is a great Japanese restaurant that serves fantastic meals.Enjoy!

Sushi and sashimi are consistently fresh at this location. Additionally, their other dishes are excellent. I highly recommend Chef's Omakase, as the selections are great, and the prices are reasonable compared to other Japanese restaurants in the DMV.

Futomaki contains large chunks of asparagus and carrots and may not taste as good as you expect.Still, it is the only place in this area where you can eat Amaebi, and the advantage is that there are many types of sushi. However, because there are a lot of people, it is better for a light meal with the family rather than a place for a date.

Good sushi is hard to come by and Ariake has quickly become my new favorite. The owner is always very attentive and quickly resolved a small issue with my chair on one visit then remembered us when we returned weeks later. The menu is excellent and we enjoyed everything we tried during each visit. The only negative is the noise volume level can get very high at times making conversation at your table difficult, but the food quality overcomes this still. Even though this place is out of the way for me I will continue to go here when I'm craving sushi.
