Fast delivery, high quality food every time! We've ordered from China Star at least 10 times in the last year, and they're consistently amazing. Portions are huge, enough for dinner and lunch the next day. Thank you!

Food was amazing! We had the Kung Pao Chicken, stir fry green beans and spring rolls. Staff was very sweet and food was made ready very quickly! Would highly recommend to others and we plan on visiting again soon!

Executive Summary: fast and affordable Chinese take out. Full Review:This establishment goes way back. This was Richard Chang's first restaurant in the DMV, whom now has established himself as celebrity chef in the region. Back in the 80's, China Star introduced Sichuan cuisine to Virginia. Since then the restaurant has gone through several owners. The current owners still keeps part of the original menu. Under Covid-19, China Star is offering take out and delivery only. The owners have taken extra precaution to make it a safe and healthy process. The door has a lazy Susan as a counter and a plexy glass at eye level. Ordering was quick and easy. I ordered 3 dishes and food was ready in 10 minutes. Under $40 including taxes. Food was great. Mind you this is a take out place, not fancy like Mama Chang's. You can't go wrong with classics like general tso's chicken, sweat and sour pork, fried rice and beef Chow fun . Price: 5 starsService: Fast Food: 4 stars.

The food is always amazing (never ordered something I didn't like) and the employees are so sweet and friendly! The prices and portions are very reasonable and you can choose from a wide variety of foods. The wait time is short so ordering to-go doesn't take away from the freshness or flavor at all. ?

I don't know if it's because of the pandemic and maybe they have someone else working in the kitchen so I'm trying to give them the benefit of doubt since this was my first but will be my last visit here. I've honestly not had too many bad Chinese food experiences. I ordered egg foo yong and the broth was extremely bland. The crispy beef taste like a pound of sugar was mixed into the batter and the wontons had one tiny little piece of meat. I hate when people are skimpy on the wonton filling. My fried rice was also scorched and tasted burnt. I can't say that there was really anything desirable about this restaurant. Wasted of $40...literally threw away most of the food. I have to say, the woman who worked there was extremely nice. Doesn't make up for the bad food though.

Since the pandemic first time go out and order Chinese food, haven't eat it for almost 4 months. The food I ordered it's amazing, the vegetables with garlic it's so fresh, beef chow foon the beef is so tender, also love the Sichuan style fish is perfect spicy for not too spicy eater. Love the food we will come back for sure.

What to order when it's the first time since pandemic started...so many options?! Our choice was China Star and it was worth the wait. Delivered quickly, food was hot and delicious. Always a fan of more meat and veggies than sauce and China Star provided exactly that AGAIN! Consistently good makes this take out menu a brilliant choice. Thank you, China Star!

Checked their website which says they are OPEN. Ordered food online and drove to pick it up, only to find 3 other customers like me, reading the sign in the window that says they are closed. Please update your website so no one else wastes their time...

The Website for Main Street location says OPEN - Take Out and Delivery. So we placed our order online. It accepted our order. Gave us a menu login verification code. Told us pick up in 15 minutes. We did not give credit card online. It said to pay at pick up. We drive there and there is a sign in the window that says they are CLOSED. CLOSED since 3/18. Then CLOSE your website and quit taking orders! You have to be kidding me. Operationally this place is a joke. Bad business move. Check it out for yourself - as of 7:03 p.m. tonight they are open and taking orders.

This place is hit-or-miss. I once ordered a seafood dish and got pretty sick next day. Only order beef or chicken seems to be a safe alternative. Portions are huge and sometimes unlike other Chinese restaurants, they allow lunch menus on the weekends. Ymmv
