Wanted to like this place more since it looks really authentic. There are two menus, one with more American style options and the other with traditional Chinese dishes.

My biggest issue was that in asking staff for recommendations off the traditional menu they didn't seem to be interested in helping and just pointed me to the regular menu. We also ordered soup dumplings and got steamed and when we pointed it out they just nodded and walked away.

The food itself was pretty good, but I ordered spicy and it was anything but. Serving sizes were great and I'd love to give this place another try and hopefully have a better experience next time.

Chef Yan 川府人家 totally hit the spot! 💕 Authentic, bold, and so full of flavor — every dish had that perfect Sichuan kick 🌶️🔥. The portions were generous, and everything tasted super fresh. It can get a bit spicy (in the best way) and busy during dinner rush, but honestly, that just adds to the energy. Definitely a must-try if you love real heat and big flavors! 😋✨

I still vividly remember this gem. I was visiting from nyc and can’t stop thinking about that meal! Generous portions, amazing ingredients, and sooo much flavor. Everything tasted so savory, balanced, and super satisfying. The restaurant was spotless and welcoming, and the staff were incredibly kind and hardworking. Already itching to go back. Highly recommend!

The food here was absolutely phenomenal!! As a Singaporean kid who grew up in mountain this range and on the south side of the Malaysian peninsulas this was a slice of home that I feel that I was not able to get anywhere else within the DMV area!!

On top of that, the exquisite experiences that I was able to be provided by the amazing awesome and attentive employees with absolutely top-notch

Coming here was like the equivalent of me going back home to my mom and dad‘s house! It was an absolute delight of being able to talk to them with them and communicate with them and be also able to have a candidate conversation about my childhood!!

will. Be. Back

We come here every month or two. We tried a bunch of new dishes this time and I now believe that this place rivals restaurants in Flushing New York after having similar dishes in flushing.

We got:
1)Numbing frog - huge pieces of meat, broth is addictingly numbing.
2) large pig intestine - reminds me of mapo tofu with huge pieces of large intestines too
3) whole fish in tangy pickled chili - this came out much different than I expected but was still very good.
4) chow mein for the kids, but even the adults liked this.

Food is great and expensive. Worth the money though. Services can and should improve. The fish is fresh and tasty.

I really love the food here, and this is one of my go to spots for dry pot!! The lady at the front was also really sweet. I only took one star away because one of the employees May suddenly became so abrupt and rude after we had finished paying. She actually slammed the receipt down on the table and walked away :(. She also barely came to our table to check on us, and we had to ask other waiters for help.

Went for dinner a couple weeks back, had a decent wait time, ~20 to 30 minutes, food was decent, but didn't have much options that I was that interested in. The service wasn't that great, took a bit of time for even water to arrive at the table, ~5 minutes or so, the waitress who took our order was pretty nice however, but then when it came time for our check and checking on the table they fell short there again as the only checked on us like twice the whole ~60 to 90 minutes we were there eating for. The atmosphere was nice despite the loud noises mostly due to 2 large groups.

This restaurant is a very famous Sichuan restaurant in the Greater Washington area. The owner is extremely friendly, the dishes are very delicious, the price is very affordable, and it is very suitable for daily gatherings and festival gatherings. We often come here and we like it very much!

Really really good szechuan food. We had the smashed cucumbers, Chinese sausage fried rice and Szechuan chili chicken and it was all outstanding. Really spicy so beware! Some of the best Chinese food my husband and I have had in sometime.
