New to working at Pender and wanted to grab a quick bite for lunch that was in walking distance. For some reason, the menu displays no pricing and you kinda just have to ask the ahjumma there what they are in person. My “10.99” steak and cheese sub amounted to almost $14 with tax. Though it was made in minutes, it was comparable in size to subway/potbellys and tasted worse. I was not expecting uncommon toppings for a steak and cheese such as carrots and cucumbers….. the flavors did not mesh well and the sub was not toasted but moreso half baked. So much mayo and was mushy. The steak itself was good and made me think that perhaps the bulgogi menu item would be good on its own, but I don’t believe I will be back to test that.

I found this little hidden gem because my son’s pediatrician is in the same building. Every time I go I always visit and grab something to eat/drink and it is always delicious. The lady who works there is always so kind and hardworking. She is not “oriental” as another Google reviewer referred to her (he also seems to like to mostly leave bad reviews). The correct term that is not offensive is “Korean.” She seems very kind.

It’s the only place that I actually like. I usually don’t like sandwiches from places. But I LOVE the tomato mozzarella sandwich and the quesadilla is really good. It got anything you crave. The service is great idk what those others are saying and clearly they are a snowflake. She’s a sweet lady and I definitely recommend.

Good sandwiches for great prices. Decent lunch spot, and the cafe interior is real cozy. Can vouch for the Reuben sandwich!

They don't give their food away and don't expect them too. You are going to spend at least $10 on lunch but I have been coming to doctors appointments from 4 hours away to this complex for 5 years and they have the best tomato soup, fried rice, potato salad and bulgogi of anywhere I have tried. Sometimes I buy 2 of something and bring one home since it's such a treat. They even stock gluten free bread due to the amount of gluten free people who use our doctors office, so I can get sandwiches there. They are the best!

There is an elderly oriental woman who works there, and she rips you off. The food is lackluster and the service time is pretty awful as well. I wouldn't recommend. Kind of depressing in there as well.

The customer service was awful. When the lady working there rung me up, my total was $10.41, so I gave her $11. She then grabbed the money and said "It's 10.41 but I'm just going to charge you $11 since I put so much on your plate". Who does that? She was also saying how expensive my food would be because I had egg whites and was already charging me extra. smh Little did she know I was going to tell her to keep the change, but her disgusting greed showed the type of person she is and the type of business they are running. Never again. Total rip off.
