Very interesting place and comfortable for sitting and reading, which is what most people were doing. I had to meet a customer in the area to sign documents. As a mobile notary, we found it easy to do that here and enjoy coffee at the same time. Will bring back more customers.

Update 1.30.26
Wondering about the requirement to tip since you're given a beeper and pick up yourself. Also disappointed that there isn't a single vegan food option. Wouldn't it be great if vegans could eat too?

Coffee was good and service was kind. The place can get quite loud and there aren't too many places to sit. Would recommend for going with a friend (maybe not during the busy hours), but it's not the best place to study.

Horrible service. Great coffee! Horrible service. When I ordered I was talking to a machine I guess. Then I asked for a little more oat milk to my coffee (which I guess is annoying- oh no) and again, no words. I said please and thank you. Then I got hungry and I saw that they were eating papa johns in here so I went out and got daves and came back. Guy comes up to me and says no outisde food here. Which I understand because most places are like that, but hey man! You're eating papa johns! Cool place to study but maybe don't make it feel like a prison

Absolutely great little cafe tucked away behind the mall. I’ve been going here a couple years with my mom. The coffee is pretty great and the pastry selection is awesome— if you go in the morning. The times I’ve come in the afternoon have offered soggy, slightly stale chocolate croissants that have been left out all day. They’ve also somewhat recently started using buzzers to announce when food is ready, which is really jarring in a cafe whose atmosphere is defined by soft piano music. I wish they would just call names or numbers like any other cafe, because the buzzers really take you out of whatever conversation or work you’re trying to get done. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s a negligible offense. We love foundation! Easily one of the best spots in this area.

Their beans are great in quality, and they make an awesome pour over. I've had pour overs on a few cafes in the DMV area, and so far, theirs was the best!

I think I had the Ethiopian natural anaerobic beans, the aroma blew me away!

Surprised to find this code shop housing on the back side of all those other stores. Even more surprised to see how many people were here! Pleasantly surprised.

I have been coming here since they opened and have always been more than impressed. They do such a wonderful job with their coffee, there’s ample seating, always people to co-work around, and I have always left happy with the quality of my coffee. I’d go everyday if I lived closer :)

This place is beautiful, albeit a little tricky to find if you're not from the area. The coffee was great. Their menu is minimal, but I feel it's on purpose as what they offer they do well. I got a cold brew, which I made the mistake of adding half and half to. Just drink it black! My nephew got an iced vanilla latte and it was really good. The only complaint is that the croissant needed to be warmed. Glad I stopped in on my road trip!

Really kind of a three and a half Stars. First of all, it's a beautiful space. I love the look from the outside, and it was equally as warm inside. Coffee, as one would. Hope, was excellent. Baked goods were just okay and probably a tad pricey. The biggest shortcoming is the lack of seeding. Every table, every bar seat, every one of these steps on the side that are kind of seats, had an individual with a laptop. The vast majority of the tables, both two tops and four tops, were occupied by a single person. Took about 10 minutes to find somewhere to sit down, and even then we just took the other end of one of the four top tables.

The Americano, oat milk cappuccino, and regular coffee were great, but the almond croissant was unique and by far the best I’ve had. The place is a hidden gem yet had almost full occupancy. We also bought coffee beans to try at home.

High end coffee shop. Needlessly priced high. Good atmosphere, nice staff, coffee tasted good. I got it to drink there, it came in a small 8 ounce coffee cup. Tasted great. Had a cool heart design on top. I ordered the vanilla latte. It was over $5 for the coffee ☕️

The coffee is great! I love the ambience but boy. the WiFi here is not great at all... people come here to do work very often and I've gone here and my friends have come here and they're WiFi is not great at all. Everytime I go the WiFi is just down and will not work for me... I just have to leave and go home.

Red Ninjago coffee shop. I was able to get a bit of the pre-roasted whole bean coffee and it's been really great. My wife and I are big fans of the cappuccino and hot chocolate. Thanks!
