Very disappointed in Managing Partner at Sweetwater Tavern I. Sterling, VA. Very unprofessional and ruined a night out with friends.

Great service and excellent employees. The absolute dehumanization and surveillance that the staff undergo by the management and corporate is downright criminal. All this company cares about is squeezing profits and cutting corners.

It is obvious that corporate is still squeezing the highest dollar from its patrons as the prices jumped yet again without any justification or improvement in the food.

I will still patron as to support the local waitstaff and those employed by this corporation, however it should be noted that the prices are over 30% higher than they were in 2019 with absolutely no changes. Corporate can blame food supply costs, but it's simply greed and lining their own pockets.

The loyal employees are what makes the Great American Restaurant chain great. Corporate would no sooner comp a guests' entire meal than to actually provide their staff benefits. This is a classic corporatized race to the bottom mentality. The top get richer while everyone else is starved and forced to produce higher numbers.

They are the bread and bones of this corporation and GAR corporate needs to recognize this and place their focus and their attention into growing the impeccable individuals who keep GAR restaurants up and running. Sadly this will never happen so I will be so happy to see this company burn to the ground. Disgusting business practices and no one working in the corporate office has a heart. Money is the only thing on their mind.

I’ve witnessed an employee of color get fired wrongfully. I don’t know what ethnicity she is but the staff is predominantly white. They were harassing her and chased her outside. I will never even think to sit in that place ever again. They revealed they are racist!!!

I’m giving this chain a low rating not because of their food or service - both good. But I am married to a non-drinker who enjoys mocktails. We were at Coastal Flats Saturday and were informed by the server that it is the policy of the company not to mix mocktails. Given how many people restrict alcohol consumption now, that seems like a poor business decision and not at all customer friendly. I also wish they would update their menus in all their restaurants. They’ve been almost the same for 30 years!! Oh, and my spouse no longer wishes to eat at restaurants in this chain.

I've been to several of their locations, including Mike's American, Costal Flats & Sweetwater Tavern. I've always enjoyed the food & the atmosphere. I hope they will open a location in PG County someday.

I just love the Great American restaurants, especially Coastal Flats. I have never had a bad meal and the service is always top notch but if for some reason you aren’t happy with something they go out of their way to make is right. This is definitely my favorite restaurant chain.

I love the GAR chain. My favorite steak (Drunken Rib-Eye) is cooked by several of the restaurants in the chain. Conversely, I hate, hate, hate the GAR app powered by ChowNow.The GAR app is designed to force the save of financial and address information without allowing deletion or editing of the information. I need my information removed. This is not a good way to do business. It's disingenuous in nature.
