This family-owned Tex-Mex restaurant has several locations, with a standout spot at Fair Lakes Shopping Center in Fairfax. During the holiday season, the restaurant is festively decorated, featuring a large Christmas tree in the center of the dining area, along with lots of ornaments, trimmings, red ribbons, and wreaths that create a warm and inviting atmosphere, along with its traditional Mexican elements, giving the space a lively and authentic vibe. The food is flavorful, made with fresh ingredients, and expertly cooked, making every dish enjoyable. We appreciated that the restaurant remained open even on Thanksgiving so that we could celebrate with loved ones. With excellent service and a fantastic ambiance, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the best of Mexican cuisine in the area.

This was our first time here with my family of ten with a Saturday night dinner reservation. We arrived in two vehicles. We parked in the mall parking lot. We arrived on time, but the place was packed with customers in line to get taken care of. We had to wait about 15 minutes for them to prepare our table for ten. This is clearly a happening place. I started with and enjoyed my two grande jalapeno margaritas with tajin rim for $25.95 each or $51.90 total. We shared and enjoyed the chile con queso cheese dip served with large corn tortilla chips for $10.95. I enjoyed my three tacos de birria braised beef in guajillo, Monterey Jack cheese, cilantro, onions and consomme for $20.95. It is served with Mexican rice and refried beans. I could only eat two of my tacos, the Mexican rice and refried beans. The staff here were very good in serving our large group. During our dinner they recognized and celebrated several customers on their birthday by wearing a sombrero. My total bill was $557 including an added 20% large group gratuity. We all agreed we will return here again for another large family dinner.

Food is delicious and fresh. The chimichangas with ground beef is especially good. Spanish rice includes a nice selection. Of vegetables including carrots and peas. Service is quick, friendly and attentive. Empty dishes cleared before you can think to ask and refillable drinks appear without asking.

Overcrowded on weekends. Dont expect to be able to sit have a long conversation. As soon as you finish eating you will be nicely asked to leave. Service not very friendly. Food was okay.

We love this place. Family owned and absolutely hands down Mexican food. Yes, you might pay a little more, but you get quality food and good portions. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Never had a bad meal there.

Guapo's is awesome! food is delicious! The service this time around didn't seem that great. They didn't look busier than normal and and I don't think the waiter was new. Not sure what the deal is. We did have a party of 5 and they automatically added the 20% tip on the bill.

Atmosphere was great! Service was pretty good, with exception of once we got our food, service dropped off a bit. Had to flag the sever down for refills on drinks and when we were ready to go for the to go boxes and check.
Also, my seafood soup did not show up with the rest of my food so it was delayed getting to me towards the end of our meal. The seafood soup was majority calamari with just a few shrimp and a couple scallops which was a bit of a disappointment. We did enjoy sitting outside under the overhanging on a beautiful sunny day which made the lunch very pleasant. Prices were a bit on the high side for what you get but we did enjoy eating lunch there overall! Would we eat there again.. yes.

I come here when i can normally on Tuesday’s they always greet you at the front door the bartenders always say welcome back long time no see makes you feel good , what stands out the most is there team work here as soon as you sit down within mins someone bings you chips salsa and water - the food is very consistent- give it a try if your in the area especially the carne asada is my go to the crispy tacos and the quesadillas.
