Hammocks is a consistently great meal, with a great flavor profile for all the dishes. The service and staff there are super friendly and professional, and I have never had a bad experience.

Why has it taken me so long to try this place? Love the charm, the service - and the food. Loved the vegan options. I will be back!

Really nice dining experience in a historical building in old city Fairfax. Expansive menu, good wine list, excellent service.

The food was really yummy but it was pretty slow. Took a while to get our appetizer. They did apologize and it was well worth the wait but it was our first time there and I wasn't as impressed with the service as I thought I would be.

Our experience was ok. Not wonderful not awful. Service was good. Food was good not great. Not convinced to return.

Food was not as described on the menu. It contained different ingredients (and roasted potatoes, not tater tots. The sausage gravy was watery and not a gravy.

The atmosphere is very warm and cozy as the place is in an old house. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Wine pours are generous. Crab cake appetizer was very good but the other items were average. Not bad, just nothing memorable.

Last night was not typical of the meals we've had in the past we will respond to the owner in a private note

We sat outside so noise level was high. We could hear the very loud group behind us as well. Server was attentive after the initial wait of 12 mins from being seated to taking drink order. Food was yummy!

We have dined at Hamrocks on numerous occasions and felt this trip was not up to standards we expected. Mostly because the menu for a fixed price options no longer exists..

As always, a lovely quaint place to enjoy a nicer meal. Not flashy, not fancy (per se), but a wonderfully pleasant atmosphere. The food options covered a wide variety of tastes and the specials were seasonally appropriate. They recognized we were celebrating a special occasion, which is always a sweet gesture.

Very nice experience. Food was delicious. Their bread is hot and fluffy and their little cornbreads are very good. Beautiful location. Services was great and very attentive.

It was very nice to eat in a real restaurant which is not a chain. Food and service was excellent and we will return.

I would like to give Hamrock’s a second try. For the first visit there, none of the food I got was spectacular. The gnocchi was surprisingly bland even though it was full of ingredients that should be very flavorful. I thought the bread that they bring out was very odd tasting. Fall salad was okay but it’s a salad. The atmosphere outside is quaint and I thought the menu seemed interesting and our server was friendly enough. For the prices I had hoped for more tasty food but I’d be willing to give it another try.

A side note a good portion of their dishes have nuts. Just something to be aware of.

Food was boring but the worst part was the service. It was horrific. Not recommended. Best to go somewhere else. This restaurant is a waste of your time and money.
