A friend and I had an excellent lunch at Hamrock's. We shared an appetizer of deviled eggs, which were the best I have ever had. We had the chicken salad, which was delicious, and limoncello cake-to die for. Oh yes, the popovers and small round rolls were also tasty. I would be happy to repeat the experience any time. Parking at the restaurant is a bit of a problem, but there is additional parking across the street.
My friend and I both ordered the fried chicken platter. It was a deliciously crispy, well seasoned boneless breast. The mashed potatoes that accompanied it were rich and buttery and the side of carrots were crisp/tender, just the way I like them! The basket of popovers were warm and tender and dusted with just enough powdered sugar. The service was also very attentive. I will definitely return.
Had a very nice dinner. Room was pretty dark, so it was hard to read the menu. Waiter brought a candle to the table that helped. Food good, rolls outstanding, but the parmesan crusted chicken I ordered was a little on the tough side. The waiter was attentive and overall good experience.
