Really lovely restaurant that serves delicious food. Had lamb shank served with saffron rice carrots and raisins. Arnold Palmer tea perfect. Recommend highly for a special treat without exorbitant prices.

Was headed to Havabite in Old Town Fairfax last night, only to find that they've moved! I asked the owner about it, and she shared that they had been kicked out of the building after 48 years of tenancy. So they decided to move Havabite into the same location as their other restaurant that they bought more recently, Mazadar.

We had some food from both restaurants and it was all great. The Gyro plate tasted exactly the same as it has since I was a kid, and...

For a while, I've had a penchant to get a gyro sandwich, and when looking for one, I found Havabite Eatery.

They funny thing is that it's been years since I went to Havabite. I first ate there in 1980 or so.

Anyway, the gyro contained a generous portion of meat along with a nice dollop of tzatziki sauce along with lettuce and tomato. Very tasty and filling.
