Its a pretty good korean/chinese food place. Portions were good and the price was decent. Best to bring the family for all the family size portions they serve. They also have a cream jjampong which surprisingly was delicous and I would recommend anyone who likes creamy style noodles a try atleast once. Will definitely be coming back often to try all the other dishes since the first time wowed me.

I recently learned about this soup and decided to try it at II Poom Hyang, and I’m genuinely so glad I did. From start to finish, the experience felt thoughtful and well executed. I ordered the Sam Sun Jjamppong, and the broth was incredibly flavorful, rich, comforting, and fresh without feeling heavy. Every spoonful tasted balanced, which really stood out.
The noodles were a highlight for me. Perfect texture, not overcooked, and they held onto the broth beautifully. What I really appreciated, though, was the helpful note they included on the box, reminding you to pour hot water over the noodles and remove them after 30 seconds. That small detail made such a difference and showed how much care they put into making sure the dish is enjoyed the way it’s meant to be. It was honestly so appreciated.
My husband enjoyed the soup as well, and I already know he’ll absolutely love their beef brisket jjamppong next time. This is one of those meals that feels intentional, comforting, flavorful, and made with care. It introduced me to something new, and it’s definitely something we’ll be coming back for.

great spot for good korean-chinese classic dishes! i’ve been here twice and never been disappointed. the portions are pretty good for the price and we didn’t need to wait too long for fresh hot food. the fried dumplings are super crispy and pairs great with the dipping sauce. absolute best combo is the jjambong & jjajangmyeon! the tang su yuk is super crispy with the perfect sweet & sour sauce. i do wish that the pork was salted just a little bit other than that everything is consistently good. highly recommend coming here for classic korean chinese comfort food.

Decent servings. Japchae is good. Palbochae with noodles is okey, not the best sauce and it becomes like jampong noodles because the sauce becomes to watery. I prefer the sauce stays thick not become watery. Chicken broccoli is not my son preferred taste. Chicken broccoli is his favorite in korean chinese restaurants i can still go back qnd eat japchae.

I walked in for a to go order.
I greeted the person (female) that was working the register .
We made eye contact and I greeted her again assuming I needed to speak first 🫤
She still ignored my attempts just to say hi before ordering.
She finally asked what did I want to order
So I wasted my money on these spring rolls disappointing

Jjangbong Jjajangmyeon Sweet and Sour Pork is really delicious!
Restaurantji Recommends
Gotta start with the egg drop soup: I am a connoisseur and have tried infinite across the country, never experienced anything like this that blows every other out of the water. Jam pong is insane, jajang is insane. They also were able to accommodate a non-meat sauce. The OG Korean couple that runs this joint are absolute legends.

This is the 2nd Korean Chinese restaurant I tried in Fairfax - I prefer the other one mainly because of the service. I feel it’s not that welcoming compared with the other one. But if you only care about food - it’s decent. Recommend Tang su yuk
