Conveniently located near Loews and Burlington in Fairfax, this Korean-style Chinese restaurant serves good Jjajangmyeon (Black bean noodles) and Tangsuyook (Fried pork with sweet sauce) that are generously proportioned. The decor is a bit old, but it is a good restaurant to visit when you crave these dishes.

Main dishes were great like all other Korean restaurants, but I was surprised on how fresh the side dishes were.

Revisited recently and ordered Jam Bong. Broth was tasting and noodles were perfect texture. Ordered tanseoyok and battered shrimp. Both were perfectly fried and both sauces were delish.

This review is only for their spicy jjampong!! I've been here many time before. It's been at least 12 years. And they still have the BEST SPICY JJAMPONG!!! It's so spicy flavorful delicious! They use fresh seafood and veggies and noodles perfectly cooked and chewy. They have regular jjampong for those who can't eat too spicy but want hot soup with some spicy. But if you love super spicy like me and craving spicy seafood noodle soup? You must try il poom hyang (Fairfax location) spicy jjampong!!! Very satisfying! Good potion as well.So good during cold winter weather, or cold rainy day.

It's not too crowded but the food was really nice! I got the ton-bok-jja or the trio for jajjangmyeon, fried rice, and tonkatsu. Everything came out really nice and the little piece of bread in the center was bomb. Service was good and the noodles are hand made.

Came here at the recommendation of @alwaysbemyfoodie on social media and it was great! For two people we ordered a large jiajiamyeong, 5 dumplings, and a small pork tangsooyook which came out to around $50 with tax and tip. The dumplings were nice and crispy - filling was okay. The pork tangsooyook was light, juicy, and crispy. You can actually see the meat rather than just flour coating like at some other places! The sauce was sweet and tangy - pairing really well with the meat. The jiajiamyeong was a hefty portion and the perfect amount of sauce to noodles ratio. The noodles were chewy and had that perfect QQ texture. The sauce is a bit more on the sweeter side and doesn't have that wok hay, but overall still good. I'll definitely be coming back!

Found this place by coincidence. Visiting Lowes and then saw that there’s a Korean Fusion restaurant. Food was delicious, staff was friendly. I think there was only one wait staff so she kind of running that place on her own yet she still so attentive. I ordered fries rice sweet spur chicken combo, jjampong and mandu. Definitely worth to try, if you’re in this area.

This place seems to get a lot of mixed reviews, but for the record my first time eating here was quite enjoyable. I got the Sichuan gan jajang while both of my friends got Jjampong, with a plate of Khan Pung Sal (sweet and spicy fried chicken). Everything was good, the jjampong noodles in particular are consistent and have a nice broth. The fried chicken was sufficiently crispy and didn’t have too much batter. My only real “complaint” was that the atmosphere was, let’s say, typical of your classic Asian family style restaurant. Albeit such a thing is quite familiar to me.EDIT: came here again on 10/21 and ordered the same things. Consistent with my last visit.
