This place is great! The new manager Joe is a 10/10. He was welcoming and answered all my stupid questions. Definitely would recommend if you want a friendly atmosphere. shoutout Lucas for the wonderful drinks!!!!!!!!

This review is simply for the fact that this place should be transparent about its hours. If your menu outside and your hours on Google say you close at 1 am than refusing us service at 11:59pm feels duplicitous. No special event, no particular reasoning, just turning the sign to close in front of us and moving on. If you close at 12 please update your hours to reflect that and save people the trip.

Website said you’re open until 1 and so does your sign. I walked up and the lady at the front said last call at 11:45? An hour+ before closing?

A Hidden Gem of Warmth, Whisky, and Wonder!
Walking into The MacMillan Whisky Room feels like stepping into a perfectly curated mosaic of charm, elegance, and soul. Every detail—dim golden lighting, cozy leather seating, the soft hum of jazz—sets the stage for something more than just a drink. It’s an experience.
A place like this doesn’t just serve whisky. It serves memory, connection, and comfort. The MacMillan Whisky Room has earned a permanent place on my go-to list—and in my heart.

Can't put a price tag on great scotch...or can you? 😉
When I go to a place with rare scotches, I splurge. I try the finer things...the highest end of things. THIS PLACE HAS IT ALL.
Lucas was a great host. He poured the drinks to my liking (usually in such places, they pour infront of you which he didnt. This is my only constructive criticism of him) but he offered ice/water/etc was extremely patient as I asked him all sorts of questions. He knew his whiskeys and had a story for all of them. He was also kind enough to leave the bottles unattended infront of us incase I wanted to read up.
I had 3 pours and yeah, they tasted great. I think all 3 pours were decently priced.
Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve- $32/pour. Bottle is only $200 but it was discontinued in 2009. So the premium makes sense
Glenfiddich 30 - $130/pour. Again, decently priced. Bottle is $1500
Mortlach 30 - an eye watering $500/pour. Bottle is $6000 but very limited. This was bottle 298/350.
Overall, a great place with tons of options.

Great atmosphere and vibe. The food was delicious and service was very attentive and friendly. The price was a bit high to go often, but I could see going there once a month or every few weeks to enjoy a meal and the ambiance.

Cocktails are very good and reasonably priced. During Happy hour, 2 whiskey sours and 2 old fashions came to $41 after taxes. Really cool looking place. A library of whiskeys! I'm not one to try different whiskeys so I appreciated their many cocktails and good service. The bar tender came over to make sure the drinks were made well. We asked for the 2nd old fashion to be slightly less sweet and it was made perfectly.
They do offer more beer choices than what the menu leads you to believe.

Started good with giving me and my girlfriend a table. Server took 10 minutes to come and once we ordered drinks and food was then kept waiting another 15 minutes. By that time a group of 4 walked in and the server then came to us and asked us to move from our table so they could accommodate the new group. No drinks or food for 25 minutes after entering the restaurant, so we just left. Terrible service!!!

Huge selection of whiskey and bourbon and great cocktails as well. I had a sip of my Bourbon, and I liked it, but I'm not a fan of the oak barrels, so I had the bartender make me cocktail. You made me a simple whiskey sour but it was the best thing ever because he used all fresh juices.

Best mixed-green salad in years. Warm setting with two-story bookcases of bottles. TV is secondary here, thankfully, with one posted on the side, like the old days. Manager is too stern; seems to focus on operations and beverage-design rather than putting his staff at ease, which then help customers enjoy their night.
