Discovered this Southern inspired restaurant today and YUM! The cheesy grits were delicious, the fried catfish was light and flakey, the batter was perfect and not greasy at all. My husband's chicken was "great" and his biscuits were "great" and the fresh coffee was also "great". The real treat for me was the freshly made sauces. I love a good homemade sauce! I tried their Cajun cream (creamy with a sophisticated darker beefy touch) remoulade sauce (so good with just a little heat at the end) and tarter sauce (you can taste the fresh)! Definitely going back to try more. ☺
Looks are deceiving. Not worth stopping. Food looks incredible but it was highly disappointing taste wise. The lack of season was mind blowing. Food came out cold. We will not be back. Oh and the biscuits were tasteless as well. Salmon hash was dried out.

My daughter and I stopped in this morning and we loved it. There was a friendly young lady at the counter waiting to take our order and provided suggestions since it was our first visit. I see a lot of other reviewers trying to compare this spot to First Watch but honestly we like the atmosphere here better and food options are different. No wait and food portions were generous and not served on plasticware? as others mentioned. Will be returning to try other items!

My crab hash looks delicious, haven’t tried yet because they forgot to make my buddy’s chicken and biscuits. I blame DoorDash. Kitchen needs more hands. 3/5 stars.Edit: I wrote/reviewed that as I was waiting for the rest of the food to come out. We brought our wait time to the managers attention and he was very understanding and eager to remedy the situation. He confirmed my original suspicion - they were short on cook’s because it was at patty's weekend. Thank you Mr. Manager for comping our bill! Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Will be back.

Pretty good food but it is expensive (very expensive for a strip restaurant in fair city mall area). We were given plastic utensils to dine inside the restaurant. Some issues with the dishwasher we were told.

I wish I could give this place 10 stars. The food was amazing the drinks was amazing the service was amazing. I mean I haven’t had great food like this from a restaurant for a while. The owner was very nice and he made everyone feel welcomed. Definitely will be back

I visited this place with my friends a while back, and we were pleased to find that our food was prepared on-site and the chickens were freshly deep-fried. The place was clean and tidy, decorated with small item collections on the shelf, and the service was good. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

We stopped by after seeing that they had 4 out of 5 stars. We ordered the shrimp and grits and the pasta. We also got some biscuits. The biscuits were fine (a little too soft) and the pasta was amazing. However the shrimp and grits were runny and didn’t have much flavor. I honestly should have followed my instinct and gotten the pasta as well. It was disheartening the shrimp and grits lacked considering that is their most known for dish.

This venue is fantastic! Every encounter I've had here has been flawless. The restaurant maintains impeccable cleanliness, and the staff is consistently nice and kind. The food is not only delicious but also served with a friendly touch. I've visited three days in a row, and each time, the person taking my order was exceptionally friendly. Experiencing such amazing service early in the morning before work has made me genuinely happy. I highly recommend this place!

Food was authentic southern style. The menu was a little limited as a result, but what they served lived up to their promise. The fried catfish was plentiful and tasty as was the cheesy grits and berries and cream French toast. Only about tables for 30, so the noise level is nice. Downside is that you order at a counter and they bring it to your table...so no true table service.

Easily one of the very best breakfast meals I've had in all of NOVA. The honey biscuits were mind-blowing. Eggs and bacon were prepared perfectly and the French toast was nearly as great as my Mom's. Earl was engaging, thoughtful, and busy ensuring everyone was fed and happy. We will be back this weekend!
