Not the same quality. The flat white I got tasted like milk. Baristas need training.

$13.95 plus tip for a “BLT” - one single sad tomato and a pile of lettuce. Over priced and over rated.

Nice spot to grab a coffee or a cortado.

Feeling ripped off as I sip a small oat latte for $7.74. I can’t justify coming back with those prices.

Kinda pricey and not that best for a coffee person who knows better about coffee 🥹

Mom & pop is not the coffee shop that we used go and get a good quality coffee. I have been a loyal customer for more than 9 years, but the last few years it’s becoming weird to even visit. The people who used to serve with a smile, and make a you a good crafted coffee, now they don’t want to serve you anymore. For instance, I have visited Mom & Pop recently, I have ordered a large latte with an extra shot, I have paid, and then I waited for my order. After ten minutes or so, the barista who was making my order, made a a cappuccino. I have told her I have ordered a large latte with an extra shot. I looked at him, and told him, “didn’t I order a large latte with an extra shot”, he was like, “oh yeah, I’m sorry”. He couldn’t even tell that barista my order correctly. In my opinion, that guy was sleeping or he was on something. Then the barista told me not worry, she will make me a new order. She was the slightly more professional person than the cashier who took my order (I’m being sarcastic). She called my name to receive my order, I tasted it and it tasted extremely funky. I asked her did she add extra shot, she said yes. I think all she did was used the same milk from the order she made wrong because the cashier didn’t bother ordering my beverage properly, and she reheated. I had throw that drink away, and order a beverage from Starbucks. I believe I’m done with Mom & Pop. There were situations where I didn’t want to come back, but this incident robbed me the wrong way. Lucky, there is a relatively new coffee shop just opened in Mosiac District recently. I think I will take my business to that new coffee shop, instead of Mom & Pop.

Good drinks and croissant. super rude staff. The girl handing out drinks was talking bad about every customer and had a bad attitude. Barely acknowledged presence of customers.

Matcha latte is my favorite

Very cute place but unfortunately the day I went, the service was not very good and they couldn’t tell me what kind of nut was sprinkled on their pastries. They recommended I just get nothing to be safe, which is fair I guess, but leaves those with allergy concerns with no options here. Would be helpful to have a list of ingredients for knowledge for the business. I also paid 4$ for them to hand me a cup of hot water and the tea bag separately.

The workers are always helpful and friendly. The food is good and the chai latte is delicious. There's seating inside and outside.

NOT WORTH YOUR MONEY IN THIS ECONOMY. I was disappointed with the service. I came on Wednesday morning, so no rush. I ordered a latte, biscuit, and soft serve. Latte was tasty, but the biscuit was not good and had no southern flavor, you’re better off getting it from elsewhere.

The biscuits were sitting out in the open and they simple warmed one up. I waited about 10 mins and it wasn’t ready. Asked an employee and they completely forgot it was ordered. Again, there was no rush when I went in. Not sure if this is how it’s normally done at similar joints.

With the soft serve, I ordered their seasonal vanilla with their blackberries jam sourced from Hanover, VA. As a Hanover local, I was excited to try this, however, they were seemingly “out of the blackberry jam”. Just a speculation, but I’m sure that was code for “We don’t want to make the blackberry jam right now even though we’ve been open only a couple hours”. Reading other reviews, it seems they source their soft serve ingredients from farms and such, but I paid $12 to NOT get their premium jam. I subbed for a sorry excuse of mango jam which I assume they use for their specialty matcha (too sweet imo). It was quite distasteful paired together. I dislike wasting food, but this went straight to the trash can.

Employees are also selectively nice. The person in front of me got a cortado on the house, because she couldn’t decide what to get, which is fine, but they conveniently forgot about the biscuit I ordered.

Will never return.

Nice atmosphere, but the name doesn’t go with the greedily overpriced menu.

I had such a great experience at Mom and Pop! The drinks were excellent, but what really stood out was the service. Ahmed and Yusef went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. They made the whole visit feel personal and enjoyable. Big thanks to them for their kindness and professionalism. Definitely recommend stopping by if you want both great food and top-notch service!

“Way overpriced for what you get. The soft serve tasted good, but definitely not worth \\$12, especially given the tiny portion—it came in a cup about the size of an espresso shot. On top of that, the service was disappointing and the staff came across as rude. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend.”
