It is really good! I previously tried another location that was terrible. But the GMU campus has really good food. I have been 100% satisfied the few times I have been. It is a bit hard to find, but it is on the LOWER floor of the building... across from the Starbucks. My only complaint is that I believe it is a tiny bit expensive, I wish they had a rewards program. I hope that they continue to stay at GMU for years to come.

Can't find the place. No one knows where it is and I tried calling. No one picks up the phone and voicemail isn't set up. Is it out of business?

I had the vegan crab cake and it tasted like real crab cake? At least to me it did. The texture was right and everything. I almost thought for a second I ordered from an actual seafood restaurant. I already be tearing up that Mac, but the vegan crab cake???? Omg

This week was my maiden voyage to this GMU NuVegan location, having visited the D.C. and College Park locations for years. The selection is much smaller than the other locations I have visited. Nu Vegan here is on the bottom floor -- with an adjoining vegan carryout business's name at the entrance -- when the main food court area is on the first floor. It is worth the search. The mac and cheese, smokey collards (the server told me the collards are fresh and not frozen) and sweet kale (the garlic tastes better, but has a long after taste) were delicious.

The server tells me the original company owns this location, when some others are franchises. She said this NuVegan supplies other parts of the campus, and apparently one of the stores on the first floor. Maybe that helps maintain quality control.

I'm wrapping up tearing down a chik'n curry entree with Mac n Cheez.

Everything was SOOO good. The flavors were flawless and texture was amazing.

I support Nu Vegan across the board. Had a location in Woodbridge that I loved as well.

So glad they have other locations and excited everytime I get to try a new location.

This is a hidden gem in Fairfax in GMU. I parked in the garage, and was told 30mins parking was okay - enough to get a take out. Walk up to Johnson center and enter through the side entrance in the lower level. They are on your left side near the side entrance. If you enter though the main entrance go down the stairs on the left side.
Courteous and helpful staff. Excellent Mac and cheese, Chick'n drummies and bowl. Affordable, vegan and planet friendly.
GMU restaurants have no tip and place is a bit hidden.
They also have excellent deserts and ice creams. Must visit place if you in the Fairfax area close to GMU.

The food is pretty good- they have a decent variety. It’s nice knowing everything on the menu is vegan, it’s the closest place to Loudoun County to get a full vegan menu. The location is hard to find, and get into. It’s located inside the college campus food hall, parking is weird for non students/faculty. I like to ask for recommendations, but the two times I’ve been it was like pulling teeth to get any feedback. Asking about sauces, but no one really knows what the taste is like? Maybe the kids working there don’t eat that food? I just end up buying a few different dishes and seeing if it’s good, it’s been toss up both times.

Craving a sweet treat on campus but looking for something vegan-friendly? Look no further than Nu Vegan Cafe at George Mason University's Johnson Center! I recently indulged in their Lotus Biscoff ice cream, and let me tell you, it was phenomenal. The creamy texture and rich flavor perfectly captured the essence of the beloved cookie butter, leaving me wanting more.

But beyond the delicious ice cream, what truly impressed me was the outstanding service, especially on a Thursday near closing time. The staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming, even as the day wound down. They were happy to answer my questions about the menu and made sure I had everything I needed for a enjoyable experience.

Nu Vegan Cafe isn't just about stellar desserts, though. They offer a wide variety of plant-based dishes, from savory sandwiches and wraps to hearty bowls and refreshing smoothies. The cafe itself boasts a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed study session or catching up with friends.

Whether you're a vegan student, a health-conscious local, or simply looking for a delicious and friendly spot on campus, Nu Vegan Cafe is a must-try! With its delectable food, warm atmosphere, and exceptional service, it's sure to become a new favorite.

Highly recommended!

Super tasty vegan food! Slightly confusing to get to if you're not from here as it's located in the university. Maybe the best vegan 'chik'n' dummies I have had. Needs buffalo sauce option though!
