Overall, food was good. They need more waiters. The poor woman running the floor was the only one. She did great though

Subpar food and service is slow. We had to wait ages for our food to come out lukewarm and then had to go find the server to pay the check so we could leave

Giving one start because I can't put zero. Terrible service, cold food. Ordered Margaritas and never arrived. Waiters fighting among themselves and the kitchen. Super slow to serve the food. Bottom line, don't waste your money there.

We had a wonderful server who took care of us in the best way possible. The food was decent, and the drinks were great. A positive experience.

Was passing by stopped here for a quick bite. Waitress was so nice i was shocked. She suggested the best shrimp tacos i have had in a while. Definitely will be coming back for the food and service.

After a long time not being in this place, I felt this is the last time. The last time there it was not great, but this time is the last for sure.The service was not so great! The server was moving around with no mask ! She was saying comments not so great ( like don’t take much time to order!! )The food was super late in spite of was not full, the food was super bad and we all had stomachache and diarrhoea after that !!This time it was not a nice visit ! As a person eat outside on regular basis, this place for sure is out of my list.The shrimp was still not doneThe dishes was not freshly made !

First, we where seated and then waited for about 20 to 25 minutes before anyone even came to wait on us. Once someone came to actually take our order we again waited another 30 minutes before we even or check on or even receive their food. Unfortunately due to the horrible service the food was that much more less enjoyable. Chicken was a little charred and the Monterey chicken plate was bland. It's unfortunate this is my first time at this location I usually have better service.

Willow Springs elementry set up a PTA night with this establishment. The school advertises to the 800 families and then collects a small portion of each sale for school supplies. I attended and several other families showed up and made it a VERY busy Monday night!Now the manger is saying no one showed up and not paying its fair share?!!! Terible people steal but it takes a real horrible person to steal from children!! Shame on you!!!

My online order had barely any chicken on it when I asked for it and to top it all off, I found a hair on my nachos. I’m disgusted, never going here again

Last night went to Fair Oaks Mall and asked the girls if they wanted Mexican. Couldn't beleive they agreed on something so we walked into On the Border. Place was pretty empty. Looking back thats the 1st red flag. My one daughter got the quesadilla my other daughter got the tacos and I got this fajita platter. Quesadilla came out and the quesadilla was hard nor fresh, she picked half the thing apart The soft tacos were empty and not soft at all. Crunchy soft taco shells... obvisouly not fresh or over heated. The platter for 38 bucks was a total waste of money. All the meat was old and dry as the desert. What a total disappointment. $90 for pure trash. The service was fine and the people were polite but you can tell that they were so slow the food was old, not fresh at all and dried out that it was almost jerky. Never again.

I think we caught them on a bad day. Service was extremely slow for only three tables with customers. Our fajitas were cooked quick, could hear them sizzling, but they sat there on the counter for 12 minutes while the chile rellenos cooked and the chicken was barely warm and burned/stuck to the pan by the time it was served. The chips and salsa were good though. I’m sure they can do better but I won’t spend the money to find out.

The food was very good. The tortilla chips and sauce were delicous. Price was right. The only down side was service was a bit slow. I'll definitely go back.

I generally never leave negative comments, but this one I have to. The only positive during our visit was our server who was really nice (a star to him, otherwise the rating would be 1). It took them over 45 minutes to bring out the food, and the food was disgusting. The rice and beans were cold, chicken was burnt with no taste. For sure one of the worst quality food I have ever had. This was our first and the last time we visited On the Boarder.

We haven't been here for awhile and forgot how great the food is. We can't stop in without enjoying their yummy queso. Love the southwest chicken tacos and quesadilla combo too and they have the best fountain diet Pepsi. But what made our visit extra great was the fabulous service of our waiter - Tomas. We never had to ask for a refill b/c he was already on it every single time. He's on the top of our list for best server ever.

Just awesome, tasty, staff is attentive and food is good portion and affordable!
