As my first tour visiting the U.S., I randomly came across this spot and decided to try the Combination Phở. The broth was aromatic, with tender, flavorful meats. The staff were warmly welcoming, taking the time to explain the dishes and making sure we had everything we needed. The cozy, inviting atmosphere made it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a comfortable lunch during our trip. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area who’s looking for a great phở experience with excellent service and a comfortable vibe.

Came here hungry and left incredibly happy! We ordered a little bit of everything, and it did not disappoint. The fresh spring rolls were huge and that peanut sauce was perfection. The fried egg rolls were crispy and golden without being greasy.

The star of the show for me was the beef stir-fry noodles; the beef was tender, the veggies were crisp, and the portion size was generous. Washed it all down with some Thai Tea and Coffee which hit the spot. Definitely coming back soon!

I was really disappointed with my dinner. The pho was extremely bland and had an overwhelming unique artificial taste, like artificial seasoning, which actually upset my stomach afterward. This was the first time in my life that I couldn’t finish a bowl of pho, even the soup.

The grilled pork was below average—no texture and no real flavor. The sunny-side-up egg was honestly a joke. I wish I had taken a picture. I only the food because I was very hungry and didn’t want to waste the money.

If it were possible to get a refund for food I already ate, I definitely would have asked. The only reason this place gets one star is because the staff were kind.

Stopped in from out of town. Didn’t know where to go but randomly chose this place as I was looking for something warm and nourishing. Got the ginger steak pho bowl. Serving size was very impressive. Could easily feed 2 to 3 people. Flavor was wonderful. Was never a fan of pho, but this has got me hooked! Very reasonable for the the quantity and quality. Absolutely recommend

This dish feels simple, fresh, and deeply satisfying. The grilled beef is tender and flavorful, resting naturally over soft rice noodles. The vegetables are crisp and refreshing, adding lightness and balance to every bite, while the peanuts bring a gentle crunch that feels just right.

I like Pho Bytes but I went tonight for dinner and there was a cockroach in my food. I was too embarrassed to say anything about it. It was and always has been expensive but I was willing to set that aside because I like the way everything tastes. But roach in food is where I draw the line

I recently stopped by Pho Bytes after spending the afternoon in the area, and I am so glad I did! I decided to try two of their signature dishes the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and the Special Pho. Both were absolutely incredible! The Bun Bo broth was rich, perfectly spiced, and wonderfully aromatic, with tender cuts of beef that melted in my mouth. Besides, the Pho Dac Biet was equally stellar, the broth was clear yet intensely flavorful and naturally sweet. The generous portions of fresh meat and soft noodles made it a truly satisfying experience. The restaurant environment is also very clean and welcoming, and the service was quick and friendly. This place is a must try for authentic and delicious Vietnamese food. Highly recommended!

Health code violation alert!!!

Been here several times and ordered take out. Today will probably be my last time. While waiting for my food, I watched thru the small window to the kitchen door 2 food prep employees eating while prepping food for orders. One looked like he was in his 50s wearing a hat and the other was a skinny Asian guy with a short pony-tail. I stood there for 5 minutes and the whole time they were sneaking bites of ingredients/food into their mouths while making orders to be taken out for service - it was really gross.

VA food safety inspectors need to flag this place for sampling. It’s a cross contamination/infection nightmare.

To the owner/manager: train your employees on proper food prep safety/cleanliness guidelines. Eating while prepping food is a health code violation in VA and can spread diseases. The young guy popped ingredients into his mouth with his bare hands, licked his fingers, then proceeded to grab ingredients to for an order.

We had three Bun Bo hue all of them were bland, no flavor. We added chili to give it some type of seasoning. The server actually forgot all of our beverages. I had to ask them where it was after our entrees came. He still forgot my iced coffee lol. He gave us hot tea with leaves floating , we had to request a new pot. I had to remind him of every single item I ordered Togo. Then he forgot our Togo drinks so I had to remind him I ordered beverages Togo too. Lol He never checked up on us. I ordered a passionfruit juice Togo too- it was literally passionfruit puree with 90% water. He didn’t even care to shake it. Don’t even waste your time. The service was a whole joke. If I could give it zero stars I would.

This place offers a lot of variety, good value, and the food is good! If you have leftovers it can be a challenge to get into the to-fo boxes and always worth taking home.

The space was nice, simple with a bit of an old-style vibe. The pho noodles were actually great, and the broth was clean and flavorful. The only small downside was that I wished there were more sauce options on the table besides Sriracha; I’m used to seeing things like chili oil too. There also weren’t many drink options. It’s a self-service restaurant, so you order at the counter, but they do bring the food out and take care of the cleanup afterward, which was nice.

Always the best pho. I love the touch screen ordering. I actually placed 3 orders at this visit. Highly recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will be my first and last visit. I called in to place an order and specifically requested a Vietnamese-speaking staff member to ensure my order was taken correctly. Despite that, I received the wrong rolls.

When I called back to address the issue, I couldn’t effectively communicate with the person on the phone. Frustrated, I gave up and tried to enjoy my meal. But when I opened the container while heating up the pho broth, I realized the sauce was missing as well.

I called again and asked to speak with the person who took my order. Instead of trying to help, he argued with me and claimed he had repeated the order back to me “several times.” I asked to speak to the manager, explained the situation, and decided to let it go and just eat. Then I noticed even the pho order itself was incorrect.

When I called again to express how poor the service had been, I was told they were “very busy” at the time—which felt more like an excuse than an apology. I was invited to come into the restaurant to speak further, but I wasn’t able to go until two days later due to work.

When I arrived, I asked for the manager. The waitress acknowledged my request but didn’t actually notify anyone. I stood there waiting until another employee came out and asked (twice) if I had placed a to-go order. Only after the second time did he identify himself as the manager.

Once I explained why I was there, he admitted the staff member who took my order didn’t speak Vietnamese well, and that he himself had prepared my order—and forgotten the sauce because they were busy. While I appreciated the honesty, there was no apology, no accountability, and no effort to make things right.

I had just started working in the area and was excited to find a new pho spot, but this experience was beyond frustrating. The staff clearly need better training in both taking accurate orders and handling customer concerns with professionalism.
