Food was good, no prussians though

The Sushi is pretty good and the service is nice. The thing I like about this place is the fact that your sushi comes with a bowl of soup which is fairly good. I suggest you try it if you are looking for sushi near the H-Mart.

Pusan Sushi is no longer in Super H Mart on Fairfax Blvd. So disappointed because now you get only what is on display....no direct preparation of your order by the sushi chef. Does anybody know where Pusan Sushi went? We want to go there for sushi.

NOTE: I am not reviewing any sushi platters this place makes. Those may be good. Review: I have no idea how this place gets 4.5 stars. I was looking for a sushi joint at about 2:30PM one afternoon and should have known most would be closed at that time. The initial restaurant I went to was close by and unfortunately closed. When I found this place on Yelp, (labelled as a restaurant) I figured I was in luck. I passed by H-Mart wondering where this place was until I realized the address was H-Mart. OK, bad sign, but it got 4.5 stars!! It's gotta be decent. Here's what you get: sushi in a plastic covered tray that you can buy in any grocery store off of the shelf. I was in a rush and hungry so I got some anyways. It was actually worse than I thought because it was clearly OLD sushi that had been sitting there since who knows when. You know when you eat fish and it's dried out... yes it's clearly old. In general, if you're foolish enough to buy grocery store sushi sitting on a shelf, then you shouldn't be surprised by the poor quality but I have to admit that this was pretty bad even by poor standards. I have nothing against this place, but I don't want others to be fooled. The other reviewers giving this place 4 to 5 stars for sushi (not talking about the platters) either are friends of the joint or have no clue as to what fresh fish is.

If you entertain at home, and want quality sushi or sashimi, this is a place to consider. While I don't mind eating at grocery store, H-mart is rather crowded and it gets pretty uncomfortable to eat and have conversation in weekends . But I've been ordering sushi and sashimi plates from here for many years, and they consistently gave me really well prepared plates (good presentation and good taste) for a very reasonable price. It was surprising how well their sushi/sashimi plates keep. I normally pick up the plates around 4-5PM and eat around 7, and the sushi and sashimi tastes very fresh as long as I keep the plate in a cool place.

Located in the H mart, it serves great "to go" Hwe Dap Bap. My only gripe is that you used to get a lot more sashimi. However, with gas prices the way they are, and the huge portion size, I really shouldn't complain about a troth full of hwe dap bap with rice and miso for $9.99.

This place is inside the Super H Mart in Fairfax right across from Paul VI HS. I have been ordering take out sushi and/or sashimi platter from this place for years and never been disappointed. I must order 3 or 4 times a year on holiday and birthday dinners. Sometimes I get their chirashi (shredded fish and veggies over rice) and it's as good as ones I get at some sit down restaurants. I get positive response from everyone whenever served and say they're fresh. It's hard to find a reliable sushi catering place that provides consistent quality of food and the same chef over the years. Hope they stick around for a long time.. :-)

Love this place for a quick lunch when I'm in the area. Does anyone know what the spicy red salad dressing is called? It sounded like togoyenko. I'd like to learn how to make it myself.
