Super nice service and delicious food! We have been a couple times and tried many things on the menu. Last night I found my new favorite. A baked potato with pulled chicken on it!

RHB always satisfies my BBQ cravings and their lunch specials are quite a bargain for what you get.

Never disappoints. We've been carrying out RH&B food to family events for years. I just ate iñ the judicial and 123 location a few weeks ago. I saw that it is temporarily closed and I hope it isn't to be replaced by the new one. Didn't appear to be much for dining in, but the new one is more convenientfor me for carry out. ;)

We picked up our food for a party yesterday. Everyone was really nice and helpful. People at the party loved the brisket and pulled pork.

Absolutely horrible tasting food! The last couple of times we went to Red Hot & Blue the taste of the food had steadily been going downhill, but today it was the absolute worst. I used to love their Grandma's potato salad, but today it had way too much celery seed, making it taste bitter, and too little mayonnaise, making it very dry. The Texas brisket was undercooked all around the edges, the meat was red looking as if it was raw. And the hush puppies looked burned on the outside, but were soggy on the inside. The baked beens used to also be very tasty, but these didn't have any onions or peppers in them, just bland tasting beans. What has happened to this restaurant??? We used to love eating here, but no more. We're done with RH&B. Way too expensive for such awful tasting food.

Everything was hot and fresh but that's where it ends. I started with the hushpuppies. They were light and cripsy, but there was just something a little off about the taste. I can't quite place it. The mac and cheese had a strange taste as well. Perhaps overly sharp? Again, I can't place it but I could tell the macaroni was overcooked, but I do like the spiral macaroni in general. Finally the brisket. It wasn't as tender as I'm used to having. And it lacked taste. I don't think it was smoked, and if it was it wasn't long enough. It should cut like butter and have enough taste that it doesn't require sauce. But like another reviewer said, it was just like eating plain beef. Lower than mid in my opinion. It was my first time eating at Red Hot and Blue since years ago when they were in Fredericksburg. From a guy who's used to eating at Dickey's, this was very underwhelming to say the least. That all said, the lone person behind the counter was nice and friendly. But it doesn't make up for the food's taste. Get the taste better and you'll have something more appealing. It is by far way cheaper than Myron Nixon's but neither as good as Dickey's.

This was a mess. The employees were delightful, but the quality of the food was terrible. I picked up dinner, maybe it's better at lunch. Each hot item rested lightly on the grill for about 15 seconds before it was packaged-we ordered a half rack of ribs, burnt ends and sausage. The ribs and burnt ends were more than half fat, mostly inedible. The sausage was fine, but cold by the time we got it (and everything else home) .5 miles away. Never again. It bears repeating that the employees were terrific-they just don't have anything to work with.

My review is for food only. I was craving some bbq and wanted to try a new place. I came across this place on my Grub Hub app and thought I would give it a try. Unfortunately, it failed me. I ordered brisket, ribs, macaroni and cheese, green beans, hush puppies, and French fries. The brisket, fries and hush puppies were good. But that was all. The ribs were partially edible; almost as if one end of the slab cooked unevenly and so one side was tougher than the other end. The Mac and cheese had no seasoning whatsoever and the green beans were sweet like sugar or syrup was added to them. I did not like my food.

I expected a lot more from a place so well known in Fairfax. To start, there are only three small tables inside, and two were dirty. Ordering was a chore, I'm not sure if the lady taking our order was hard of hearing or if there was a language barrier. And although there are cheese and bacon fries on the menu, the lady said they don't make them. After ordering, we got our food fairly quickly and sat at a table outside. We ordered burnt ends with macaroni and cheese, a loaded potato and chicken tenders with fries. The burnt ends were not actual burnt ends, it was brisket the cook placed on a hot grill before plating them. The mac and cheese was flavorless. The pulled chicken in the stuffed potato was dry and needed salt but it was covered in cheese. The chicken tenders tasted like Member's Mark chicken tenders and the fries were soggy. The cashier was very nice but also tried to overcharge me twice.

Just gave the new location a try. It is NOT a restaurant, like the old one on Chain Bridge. It is a counter-service take-out place with a couple of tables for eating in. Most of the same menu items, though we didn't see hamburgers on the list. We talked to an owner, and he said that he and others had owned the old place for 3-4 years -- I never knew it had changed hands. They rented, and as anyone who was a regular knows, the building was falling apart. So now they have a clean, new place, with absolutely no personality, no coziness, no bar, no friendly servers, no lawyers to eavesdrop on! Owner said that if things work out, they may open another full-service place in a few years. If you're looking for food, it's just like the old place. If you're looking for a place to eat, it is very different.

I wasn't going to spend any more money on this restaurant, my Friend paid and ordered a pulled chicken sandwich for me. Lo and behold I actually received what I ordered and it was delicious. The potato salad was very good no egg, but so much better than previously. Keep it up..PLEASE! Love your food when i receive what i order. Star added ----‐-----‐-‐---'‐-----‐----‐--------------- Old reviews below Used to be my favorite BBQ restaurant. Wondered why so many locations closed. I say used to be as the last 2 times I placed an order I received pork instead Of the pulled chicken i ordered. I do not eat pork so this was a considerable waste of money. When I contacted the restaurant via email, just to help them improve no response was given. The potato salad used to be spectacular, it now contains too much mayo and no eggs. I wondered why so many locations closed, it is due to a lack of pride in the product, not continuing a delicious legacy, and abysmal customer service or simply no longer caring

I love the food, but dang son, the service is SLOW. Slow for small groups, slow for larger groups. We love going here. The food is great, especially the hush puppies (I would kill to get some of those!), and I'll probably end up going back... but for the love of everything under the heavens, please do something about the service. Got a larger group? Put two servers on it! Oh and that men's restroom. My goodness, it is just horrible. I try waiting until I get home instead of using the bathroom there, but when the service is so slow, sometimes I just can't wait. It needs a total renovation. Prepare for sticky shoes! Will I go back? Yes, the food is what saves this place. But be ready for the wait.

We stopped here for lunch a few months back, and candidly, the food was absolutely horrible. It was clearly pre-made and reheated, and was remarkably bland. The place itself was pretty disgusting -- it was obvious that cleaning efforts are cursory at best.
