After I explicitly called to verify they would be open, I am standing outside a closed store with a devastated birthday boy. If you aren’t going to keep your hours, don’t tell me on the phone you will be open. I called less than 2 hours ago and this is the second time this has happened.

Small portion size for a high price. There’s a sink behind the counter, and the employee left the faucet running continuously while scooping ice cream and while processing payments. It pained me to see so much wasted water.

Headed to Sugar Mama's because I wanted peach ice cream, and it's been hard to find for some reason. Wasn't really impressed. It's a high priced, no frills version of Baskin Robbins. Ice cream was fine. It's out of my way, so I probably won't go back.

I LOVE Sugar Mama's!!! They are the most customer oriented ice cream establishment in the DMV. Their scoops are enormous! Did you know you can get a half scoop of one flavor and a half scoop of another?! Mind blown! And, everything is hand crafted, no ice crystals, super fresh, delicious flavors, there is a courtyard outside so you can sit and enjoy your ice cream they have pre-packs and other delicious goodies in their stand-up freezers and fridges. Just go!

We have moved a lot and we have developed a pastime of searching up and assessing the ice cream shops wherever we live. Sugar Mama's was recommended to us. While we enjoyed the concept of the mini scoop that allowed us to try an abundance of flavors on one visit, the ice cream was disappointing at best. No one in the family offered more than a 2 star review and it was debated whether that was too generous. We are happy to share that we have enjoyed heaps of delicious, flavorful, creamy, rich ice cream filled with an abundance of quality ingredients at many shops; HOWEVER, Sugar Mama's was not one of them. We won't be back.

Ice cream is okay. The flavors make this place. Cinnamon and Espresso Chip are great flavors that are hard to find normally. Of course you are paying the price of a half gallon at the grocery store for one large scoop for the pleasure. There are tables inside.

In the tiny shopping center off a busy road by Jermantown! Nice little place to stop by for some ice cream. They have plenty of flavors and the service has some sweet workers who will let you sample some flavors! I did try the Chocolate coconut crunch which was pretty good but had to go with the classic Green Tea and Strawberry. Honestly, as for the ice cream itself - does not seem anything out of the ordinary. Simple flavorings and ice cream - nothing too notable to note.However, I do love that you can get mini scoops which (I got two) were the perfect size for a nice sweet dessert after lunch.Would recommend to stop by for some ice cream 6.5/10!

My friend and I stopped by Sugar Mama's after dinner this past Wednesday for some ice cream. We were in Fairfax already, so we might as well get something local to the area.SINGLE SCOOP - 5IIRC, it was 5.00 for a single scoop, which is cheap compared to Arlington/DC pricing (which is at least +1, lol). I got the Coconut Chocolate Crunch tonight which tastes like an Almond Joy without the almond. There was so much coconut flakes which I loved. I'm not sure what else was crunchy about it except the coconut flakes, though. The chocolate was nice and subtle. Overall, solid ice cream flavor.My friend got the S'mores flavor which he really enjoyed. It was a sweet spot (bad pun, haha).
