Absolutely the best sushi restaurant in this area. Mr. Lin, owner chef trained in Japan, knows how authentic Japanese dishes should be prepared and presented, and he does it with precision and at very reasonable prices. His sushi has simplistic yet exquisite taste as if it's home made. We have dined in once and have done sushi takeout twice already and have never been disappointed. In a time like this, you can safely order takeout if you prefer not to dine in. Highly recommend.

We were concerned as we walked through the door at 7PM on a Tuesday and there was only 1 other diner in the restaurant. Surprisingly, this is a very decent spot in the heart of Northern VA for ramen. We tried the tonkatsu and curry. There were some toppings I didn't agree with (something that looked like saffron?), but overall good flavor for the price. We also ordered a roll to share - the Fairfax roll. It was pretty awful. The salmon that sat on top of the roll was slightly mushy, aka not fresh. Service was also lacking. Given we were 2 of 3 people in the restaurant, one would assume service is extremely efficient and attentive. Instead, our server was slow and spent most of her time chatting with the other staff. Also halfway through our dinner, someone decided to spray the restaurant with heavy duty air freshener. It came out of nowhere and all of a sudden we were eating air freshener. Wait to clean and tidy up closer to closing time to be respectful to your customers eating!

We finally dined here and we are so glad we did. It's a nice cozy little spot and their menu has so many good options but we decided to do a customized ramen bowl and I ordered a dragon roll. My dragon roll was delish! Not too filling with rice. My fiancé's ramen was absolutely amazing. The broth was flavorful, and the ramen noodles he chose were perfectly chewy. He's also vegan so its awesome that he could customize his bowl to his preference. We will definitely be back as regulars.

I have to preface this review by noting that my expectations for Japanese food are fairly high and I am not local to this area. After reading the sign on the window stating that this was "authentic Japanese food" I was a bit skeptical about how good it would actually be. Our family wanted ramen and this was the restaurant that came to mind. The service was fairly good and our waitress was very friendly. She seemed to genuinely want to do a good job. She was not exceptional but was very upbeat. I ordered the sushi set and was not impressed. It did come with a salad and miso soup, which I did not notice listed on the menu. The salad was good but the miso soup seemed to lack depth of flavor. The sushi itself was sub par. I went in with leveraged expectations seeing as we are far from the pacific, where sushi tends to be of higher quality. But the sushi was not even to the level of my low expectations. The tuna and hamachi were pretty flavorless. The octopus was so chewy it was inedible. The flavors in the spicy salmon roll were not balanced: the sauce was very overpowering and the fish lacked flavor. The nori was chewy in both the maki and hand roll. The salmon was the only fish that actually tasted good. Additionally, my fiancé and I were initially given someone else's food. The waitress initially told us that the rolls in our meal were out first, so we each supposedly had one roll on this platter. But as we looked at it, it seemed like my roll was not what I ordered and that the order instead matched what someone else at our table had ordered. Furthermore, one of the dishes came out much later than the rest. We were all a few bites from being finished with our meals before my fiancé's sashimi set came out. Overall I was very unimpressed with the sushi here and the order mix up and late delivery added insult to injury. The meal was very below average. I would not come back here, but I tend to be pretty picky when it comes to sushi.

I went into this place on a random afternoon... as a busy mom of two my favorite pastime is to eat alone and half a couple of glasses of wine. This place fulfilled that joy except for the glass of wine :(( The rest of the review is all good!! The food was amazing. I HATE miso soup but I could live off the kind they serve here. I got a couple of rolls and they were so tasty and the presentation was beautiful Service is great. This place is awesome

I would have given them a better review but they forgot my husband’s order and made us wait for long time until we discovered they had forgotten to place the order. My sushi rolls were good and I was almost determined to come back until they made us go through that uncomfortable moment.
