New Fairfax Tatte location can get busy. Their pastries are good (and pricey), but their coffee is inconsistent.

Iced Americano was just water with a drip of coffee, tasted so bad, and the matcha latte has matcha and water, not sure the baristas are trained properly. I was standing at the coffee bar and in 15 minutes, they only completed one order with two people working. Not sure if this is very efficient for a café with this much traffic. Had very high hopes but very, very disappointed.

The coffee is horrible, and the food is overpriced and not worth the hype.

A great addition to the area. Great breakfast, lunch, coffee and desert options. The Avacado Tartine and Egg & Sausage sandwich are terrific.

The food and atmosphere are wonderful, but the service model is awful. Always slow at the counter, rarely more than 2 if not one cashier. Get past the line and you’re golden.

Vanilla latte at 3 in of foam. Flavor was averaged to pour.

We gave here a try today. We are regular customer for Tatte for other locations, but this location is not like any other ones! The service is not good, they brought coffee for us in paper cups (even though we asked for dine in). When I went and asked them for ceramic cup, they said that they are out of ceramic cups!! The food also took so long to arrive (and we just ordered a meze breakfast and a croissant sandwich - not complex order). It was also not a clean cafe - there were dusts on the tables and counter.
Anyway, we will never come back here again, and I really hope the manager improve the service and food here.

Tried the seasonal salmon rice bowl and carrot cake (so moist) and both dishes bursting with flavor. Would come again to study or with friends. Only issue was the outlets/plugs at the bar tables did not work.

Waited half an hour for a simple take out order only to find hair in it! Disgusting

There was a huge line, so I decided to order pickup. I went in a little before my pickup time. I could see people in the kitchen making people’s orders, and I didn’t notice any to go orders. There was a constant flow of people going to the kitchen area to grab utensils or plates and to talk to the staff about their orders. Some were dining in, and some were picking up. I ended up waiting 30 plus minutes to get my food. I could see it was sitting out, and I had to ask about it instead of someone putting it in the pick up area. By that time, the pastry I ordered was out of stock. Someone from the back was supposed to grab it for me, but she got caught up with something else. I had to flag someone down, and she kindly offered me a different pastry plus one for free. She apologized for the inconvenience. I would honestly not come here again after this negative experience. My food was warm, not hot. The pastry was good, but the unorganized service made me not want to return. I understand they were understaffed and opened recently, but I think they could have done better.
