Always an amazing meal. Really loved the non alcoholic spicy margarita. Hummus was great. My guest from Japan really thought it had great flavor. OK, I’m
I ordered the teriyaki bowl for takeout, and the portion size was noticeably smaller than before. Without the added chicken ($7 extra), there would've been barely anything in the bowl. It felt like the chicken filled most of the space. Unfortunately, it didn’t feel worth the price.
The food was good but not filling. For this to be an entree, I was still hungry.

Date night with my wife celebrating our 27 year wedding anniversary. It was a great night out and we will return. Thanks!
Thai shrimp lettuce cups were mediocre. The shrimp was small and had not been deveined, which was gross. Watermelon salad was delicious!
Had reservations last Sunday (June 22, 2025) for five. I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad and was very disappointed. Apparently they prepare it and store it in the fridge, they don't make it fresh for you. It was very cold, tasteless (weird dressing), the lettuce was thinly shredded so you couldn't chew it, about 10 pieces of tiny cubed tasteless pieces of chicken, one small piece of avocado. It was definitely not worth the $17.95 I paid for it. I will not be going back to this restaurant.
Burger and chicken sandwich took almost 40 minutes to come out. Burger was decent but the bun was kinda hard (maybe the way they toast it). They offered us a free dessert to make up for the wait, which was quite nice. The chocolate cake and ice cream is normally $11 which is a bit much given the tiny size of both and the fact that the cake isn’t warm. Good place to go if you’d rather have assorted leafy greens than fries with your okay burger.
True Food is consistently good, clean food, with kind staff, whether its the Mosaic or Reston locations, we know what to expect!
The food was delicious as always! Something was wrong with the HVAC as it was uncharacteristically warm in the restaurant. Service was slower than usual as well. We had to ask for water refills multiple times during the meal. They always take great care to prep the food carefully for those with allergies. We have never had an issue with my wife's Celiac disease or son's dairy allergy when eating at True Food. Continues to be our favorite restaurant to eat at in NOVA!

We had enjoyed a great lunch on their outdoor covered patio with our little pup Josie. At dinner recent Y it was a little hot and muggy so we decided to take advantage of the a/c. It took longer to place our drink order than it should have and longer for the wine and spirits to arrive than it should have. There was less variety on the menu than I remembered. Our salmon portions were quite small and Susan's was cooked well beyond the medium she requested. The salad which I topped with my fish was small and had fewer goodies than I had expected. The upshot - might return for lunch but probably not for dinner.
Service at True Food is absolutely wonderful. Our server was so nice and right there when you needed her but unobtrusive the rest of the time. I appreciate the healthy options on the menu and the ambiance is great - very peaceful and cute decor.
We had a vegan and a gluten free diner in our group of 4. We were very pleased how many options were available for both diners. Food was fresh and tasty.
It was somewhat disappointing. We arrived a few minutes early, they could find our reservation but nevertheless they assisted us in our table request. There was no acknowledgement that I had booked this table for a special occasion mentioning the name and years old of our son. I felt they could have said something.
I love True Food. First time at this location but quality of food, service, atmosphere and value is consistent with the west coast restaurants. In my travels I look for these restaurants. Wish you would open one closer to home - Williamsburg/Richmond Virginia.
