This is a hidden gem in Fairfax. It’s close enough to Annandale and Falls Church. What we like about it is the ability to get good Japanese food without long wait. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable. Highly recommend.

YamaChen’s Sushi House totally hit the sushi craving! 💕 The rolls were fresh, colorful, and beautifully made — especially the specialty ones. Loved the service! Though the sushi felt a little chewy however they had great edamame along with their complementary korean yogurt at the end was a nice cherry on top.

Wonderful atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious sushi! I only ordered the simplest rolls since I brought my young children. It was a great first sushi experience for them though their favorite were the tasty fried Gyoza. Their fountain drink prices were the most reasonable I've seen in a long time!

I attended a birthday party here and we all had a great time. Delicious food, staff was fantastic! The atmosphere was intentional and the meal was impressively timed out. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Miso soup was warm tepid water.

Shumai were dough balls with no filling or flavor.

Maki had nice blue crab crunch on the end but were indistinguishable from 700AD english man’s slop.

They offer a solid selection of classic rolls and nigiri that always hit the spot. A big plus for us is that our toddler enjoys their simple rice and grilled chicken, and the edamame is always a hit!

It's a welcome change of pace, allowing us to enjoy our meal and actually have a conversation without raising our voices. unfortunately this is just not a real sushi restaurant. I don't think it was terrible, but its not sushi. It is perhaps sushi for people who have never actually eaten sushi before. I would like to rate it a 1, but the restaurant is fine, its just not a sushi restaurant.

One of the worst sushi restaurants I've ever been too. Miso soup and Shumai was so salty. The Rolls were flavorless and did not even look like the pictures on the menu. Huge disappointment!!
