Tried to eat here at lunch today but they were not open. There was no signs of any sort on the windows or doors so maybe they are closed for good?

Amazing! If 6 stars was possible I would give this place that. I am Ethiopian and I eat Ethiopian food at least once a day. I cook it and have all the ingredients from Addis. I was born and raised there so I know what authentic Ethiopian food taste like. Unfortunately, not a lot of restaurants in the area keep the original recipes in order to avoid high costs. However this place invests in the right ingredients to make the delicious meals served to its customers. Thumbs up and we need more authentic restaurants like this!

The food was amazing! So fresh and authentic, the hookah was made just right and most importantly the customer service was top shelf!!! I definitely recommend Ambassel restaurant if you’re looking for a good meal or just an all around good time! From the live entertainment to the outdoor seating, and amazing drink selection I assure Ambassel will meet all your needs!!!
BEST Ethiopian food in the DMV area. I've tried Ethiopian food almost everywhere in DC and Bethesda and this is my favorite! Their injera is so soft and all their food Is amazing. Really friendly staff who give great recommendations. Love this place!!
