Nice people, but for $11 you get a salad with one chicken tender cut up extremely small. For a $6 breakfast sandwich, you get 1 piece of bacon broken into a few pieces. Barely any meat inside wraps anymore. The quality and amount of food was MUCH better previous years. The old staff was better.

wish we had a different cafe downstairs!
This is a good lunch or breakfast spot. It doesn't look like much, but some of their dishes have surprised me. Their Chicken Quesadilla is probably the best I've ever had. I like their Chicken Club Sandwich as well. I give it 4 stars for service simply because they can only do so much with so little. If you go during their peak busy times, you are guaranteed to wait a while. It can really mess up your lunch break. Ordering online beforehand can help avoid the wait, but not always.

Always stay here when colleagues are coming from out of town. However, they now charge $10 per night for parking. I will not be returning. We will stay somewhere else. Very disappointing. They did tell me all the Marriott's are going to have paid parking! I can see in the big cities which has been the case in my 22 years of traveling. There is a Hilton property near by. No charge for parking. Will be staying there along with my colleagues.
Public areas are very nice. Welcoming and modern entrance. Very large (gigantic rellay by hotel standards) gym with updated equipment. Front desk is extremely helpful and prompt. The rooms OTOH are just OK. Size is decent. Beds are comfy. But the quality and feel seems 'cheaper' than the public areas. Bathtubs even have good ol' fashioned plastic curtains.... and the toilet looks at least 20 years old. Lastly, front doors slam with a loud thud - which you can hear at 1am as guests are coming back from the parties and events downstairs. Hotel in general is geared towards large events on weekends. We saw two graduation on first evening and two the next. Overall, this hotel is decent, but it could be great if they renovate the rooms.
The good: - cheerful staff - clean hotel - stylish and pleasant decor - yummy dinner food at the restaurant in the lobby The not-so-good: - We had a two double bed room. Both mattresses were so well used that there was a dip in the most slept on side of the beds. - We needed to call down for extra blankets because the duvet was about an inch thick. - The ventilation fan in the room was very loud. I turned up the temperature hoping it would shut off, but it didn't. - The outdoor parking outside the lobby door was full when we arrived, so we parked behind the hotel in the underground parking lot. We took two to three elevators (depending on what level we parked) to exit the lot and then walked through a long corridor to arrive at the front desk and elevators to the rooms. When the reservation clerk gave me a parking tag and told me to put it on my car, I looked at her and asked, "Now? My car is a ten minute walk away!" She kindly took my make and model instead. If any member of your party struggles to walk distances, drop off them off at the front door to the lobby and have them wait for you. - We logged on to the hotel's guest WiFi and found the signal weak - it took time to load images and videos.
This is a good Marriott, meeting expectations in several areas. LOCATION Convenient to the business and shopping districts in Falls Church, either a short car ride or walkable, depending on your destination. Dulles is the closest airport, technically, if that factors into your stay. SERVICE Overall, good. Nothing that stands out, but what you'd expect from Marriott. ROOMS Quite comfortable, updated. Marriott, through its renovations, has been doing a nice job making business travelers comfortable, with functional work areas. I appreciate the in-room refrigerator, too. AMENITIES The fitness center in this Marriott is a bit above and beyond the norm. There is a Smith machine and plates, which isn't common for hotel gyms. Overall, a decent amount of space and equipment. Nothing is falling apart and there is a filtered water dispenser. OVERALL Definitely a good selection for the Falls Church area. Reliably Marriott, meeting standards and expectations.
We had stayed at this hotel many times several years ago so when we had a family celebration we booked without hesitation. The hotel definitely has changed since our last visit and generally we had a pleasant stay. Every staff member we dealt with including check in, restaurant, bar and housekeeping were attentive and friendly. However there is no longer the indoor/outdoor swimming pool that our family enjoyed in the past. There is now a daily parking fee of $10 but it was waived when we questioned it. The bar area and separate spacious restaurant are gone although the bar area remains empty and intact. The bar/restaurant area is the first thing visible upon entering the hotel and although we had no problem seating could get crowded. Breakfast buffet was very good but no more omelette station or waffle maker. Service at the bar and restaurant was good and the food we ordered arrived quickly and was delicious. The check in area was off to the side of the lobby and it took a few seconds to realize that it was not a storage area for checked luggage. Our rooms were clean and comfortable however the hallways were very cold. We would return for future visits.
It is a great location that is convenient, quiet and near many businesses in the Falls Church area. On the outside it looks very modern and luxurious, but the rooms are started to look a little dated and worn. It is OK, it is comfortable, but the prices might be a little high and the rooms might be due for some modernization and upgrades. The bathrooms are very dated and they are stingy on amenities.

I reserved a king room online for our stay, but after I checked in online two days prior to our stay, I asked as a Titanium member if it might be possible to be upgraded to a suite. The kind response I received on the "Chat with us" feature on the Bonvoy app was as follows, "I will go ahead and put your request in your reservation, we will be more than happy to accommodate upon checkin." We were assigned room 1007 the day of arrival, but since I couldn't tell from the number what type of room it was, and since the reservation still showed online as a king room, I mentioned at checkin just after 4pm that we had been told we would be given a suite. The staff member at the elite desk took a few minutes and seemed to be changing the room assignment. She then gave me keys for room 1549 and said "I've put you on the 15th floor; is that all right?" I said sure, assuming the switch was to put us in a suite. On arriving at our room, I was surprised to see that not only was it a regular (nonsuite) king room, but it was quite small. I called the front desk and was told they'd "upgraded" us to a concierge block room. So I asked what happened to the suite, and he said they were sold out. When I asked about the size of the room, he said all their rooms are the same size. While being on the 15th floor might be seen from their perspective to be an upgrade, we're looking out at the highway, and I am still surprised that no one had the decency at checkin to say they were out of suites. I also inquired about the Starbucks on the 1F and was told it was only open M-F, and when I asked about access to the concierge lounge, since after all we were in a "concierge block room", they said it doesn't reopen until Sunday morning. Elite members used to get a free buffet breakfast in their lovely dining room, but I guess that option disappeared with the renovations. Plus now they charge $10 for parking; when I asked when that changed, they said about a month ago. So all of the features we used to like about this hotel are now gone, and we're stuck in a small king room looking at the highway. I should have just stayed home; what's the point of taking a trip?! And the wifi isn't working; my husband has tried 4 times to log in, to no avail. Stay elsewhere!!
Great food and great service.... Good thing, as this is the ONLY food available within Fairview Park (Marriot hotel has -essentially- nothing.TV monitor is on with the food channel all-the-time (a nice touch).
Short stop overnight in Virginia, wasn’t familiar with the area and ended up here. Was a little skeptical as there were some bad reviews on sites but we had a great experience. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and very typical Marriott style. The lobby was very nice and spacious. We did not eat or enjoy any of the amenities however I will Keep this on my list for future stays.
What a terrible stay 2 nights ago. At check-in I was waiting behind a gentleman. Another guest cut in front of me straight to the front wanting to switch rooms. The gentleman finishes and walks away. I was waiting for the employee (Athena) to tell her that I was next and she needed to wait. But no, she kept on helping the lady who cut. I was shocked. After 4-5 minutes, Athena told me she would be with me in a minute. Another 3-4 minutes go by. I heard her tell the lady that she would need to check the room herself, so let her help me. FINALLY, she helps me and thanks me for my patience. I was visibly annoyed, but didn't say anything. What kind of customer service is this? You just let other customers cut? I kept my mouth shut to avoid a scene. I figured she may offer me something for my trouble, but nope. Athena also didn't say anything about my Marriott status, welcome me, offer me a free upgrade which I am entitled to, etc. She shouldn't be at the front desk. You can tell this is an older hotel. In the room, there was a pee on the bathroom floor. I had to wipe that up myself. When I took a shower and grabbed a towel, the towel had a yellow/brown stain on it. Throughout my stay, the wi-fi was absolute garbage. I had to turn it off and just relied on my phone's data. I stayed here 1 night while my house was getting some work done. I wish I had stayed elsewhere. I would not recommend this hotel and I will not be back.
Very nice large hotel. The staff was helpful. When we cam in Friday afternoon, wished they had cafe open to eat at. The WIFI was a little slow at times too. Room was very nice and super quiet. You could see some aging in the room. No complaints for this place. At night the bar opened. Did not seem crowded. I would come back.
