I’m here for work in Alexandria and happened to walk by the Cuates Grill and people looked happy inside. The food is outstanding! I had to stop the owner to tell him it was one of the best Mexican food meals I’ve had in my life and I have been to Mexico many, many times. Flavors, portion size. Everything was fabulous. Highly recommend.

Located conveniently on King Street in the heart of Old Town, Los Cuates is hands down, the best authentic Mexican restaurant in Alexandria. Everything on the menu, from their sizzling carne asada fajitas, to their specialty Los Cuates margaritas, is made fresh and delicious. We have enjoyed their cozy ambience, tasty food, and superb service for years. Their portions are huge and prices are very reasonable, and you can’t beat their weekday happy hour specials. Los Cuates is a must try - you will not be disappointed!

Wow! Love this place! Locals that finally made it in and will be back at least monthly. LOVED the salsa and chile rellenos. Great atmosphere. Phenomenal server (Andy) was the nicest person.

No Kid Left
We’re visiting and stayed at a nearby hotel so we decided to give this place a try. It was kinda empty plus I read some reviews, so I was nervous. I took it easy and ordered a chicken quesadilla with a side of guac and was pleasantly surprised! Very good! Some of the reviews stated the charge you for EVERYTHING And I agree but it was decent!
My order took much longer than expected, the tacos are subpar and they forgot my passion fruit juice. A waste, smh.

Been going here for a while, and worst experience we’ve ever had today. One staffer working both the bar and tables, no management onsite, forgot our drink and took 30 minutes to get queso for chips. Never even got to ordering dinner after 45 minutes so decided to leave…
