Delicious! First time visiting and pleasantly surprised. Ordered pechuga de pollo and camarones mezcal with steak added to the dish as a special request. Everything was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Only one waiter serving both the bar and floor but he provided great service. I would visit again. Really good meal.

The restaurant was clean, had nice decor, and a fun vibe. It looks like this was a really good restaurant at some point. Our experience was pretty sad though.
My family was seated right away and were the only diners in the restaurant. We waited close to 10 minutes before a young man brought a glass bottle of tap water, 4 cups, some chips, and salsa. Then 10 more minutes before a young lady came to get our drink order. Several minutes later, we had canned pop and queso. Our food came out pretty quickly even though the rest of the service was slow.
Food was OK and expensive. The salsa looked odd but tasted fine. Queso was not very good. Nearly $70 for 3 drinks, 2 cheese quesadillas (kids couldn't find anything else they'd like on the menu), and one entree. This was our last night on vacation and dinner was a disappointing note to end our trip on.

I've passed this restaurant several times and decided to finally check it out this evening. I should have driven passed. The service was so slow it was practically nonexistent and there were not that many diners in the restaurant.
The margarita I ordered was just terrible -- I think the waiter/bartender forgot the agave. I did not finish eating the combo platter I ordered because there was a long black hair in the taco. I'm nauseous just typing this. There's a reason there were few diners in the restaurant -- the food and service is poor. Avoid.

Stopped by during my visit from NC. I was drawn in by the pictures on the website. However, upon walking in I noticed immediately there was no host at the door. Secondly, the restaurant was completely empty. Then the salsa looked very weird but I didn’t pay it any mind. The service was very minimal. There’s not much enthusiasm. And so, at that point I decided to check the reviews. After that I decided not to order any additional food, but instead a margarita. The margarita was made from preexisting ingredients already sitting in a pitcher. She simply added ice and syrup. At that point I decided to just leave and pay for the soda I ordered. I do not recommend. It’s unfortunate that this isn’t something that is just happening. Hopefully, in the future things will turn around. I will say the young girl working there was super sweet.

No queso no bueno. We ordered quesadillas. The waiter came back and said they were out of cheese (at 6pm at Mexican restaurant). I ordered a taco salad instead and of course it had no cheese. There was no suggestion of “I am sorry we are out of cheese but may I offer you some fresh avocado instead?” When we paid the bill I remarked how it was strange that they were out of cheese and that they hadn’t thought to go to a local grocery store and buy shredded cheese to hold them over for the night. The waiter said he had informed the manager but he was not given a solution other than serve the menu selections without cheese….at a Mexican restaurant. Falls Church City has no shortage of restaurants but this is the one and only Mexican restaurant. It has a prime location on Broad St with indoor and outdoor seating. With proper management you would expect a decent business but as others have noted it is never crowded and often we are the only ones in the restaurant. Without changes, I can’t imagine this restaurant will be still be in business in 90 days. The last time we attempted to eat here (in July) the A/C was broken so we went to another restaurant closeby. Sad. I know the restaurant business is not easy but this seems like no one is even trying here.

I am coming to this place about once every 1-2 months.
I have noticed severe decline in this place, but if its not going well, just close it!!
Heres what got worse:
I always get a frosen mango margarita, this time it was not Mango, although they tried to convince me it is. I had to return it and change it for a passion fruit one qhich was good.
The chips and salsa- chips was good but the salsa, and not just this time, its always been looking and tasting BAD, like a vomit.
Today salsa was brown?!
Food:
I ordered as always the three option combination meal- they had no chilli ralleno....
I ordered quesso- yess, you guessed right- they had no quesso.
On the other side my food was good and delicious.
To the management- please do somwthing ASAP!!

Me and son ate here (new to area) last Sunday at 1 pm. Nobody there except us. (strike 1). The restaurant is nicely decorated but was hot as hell with no A/C and a couple fans going. Let me first say I am not a complainer or picky in general terms. Neither is my son. This was by far the worst food we ever had at a restaurant. We got the chips and salsa and just looked at each other like what the heck is wrong with it. Chips were stale. Salsa was horrible. Then got our food. Jesus Christ. He got Fajitas. I got taco salad. Taco salad was mostly full of just lettuce. It all was so bad I seriously thought we would get food poisoning. The food was so bland. Beans were worse than out of the can. Meat was so sketchy. (I got steak and his chicken was horrible). The bottle of water they give you was actually warm, not cold. lol. The sour cream was warm, not cold. None of the meat was hot but kinda luke warm. So nasty. The food was the worst ever. Im not sure what the deal is since we are knew (son got job here) but I am getting him settled and getting on first plane out. The actual restaurant is very nice with inside and outside seating. The server was a young kid and was good but we were literally the only customers there. Never again.

I came to the restraint at 7pm on a Sunday. The restaurant was empty and the server seemed annoyed that me and three other guests were even there. I tried to order a pitcher of margaritas for the table and the server told me they had no clean pitchers at an empty restaurant. I ordered the shredded beef enchiladas and they were so salty I couldn’t finish them. The service has been horrible here and I will never eat here again.

Food was bland, not authentic at all. Service was terrible. Only would be worse if the waiter had been rude. She forgot our request, only came to the table once and we had to get up and go ask for the bill.
