If I could give 0 stars I would. I placed an online order, and when my mother and I went to pick it up, they hadn't received it. The bartender was very rude about it. I showed the chef (who was very polite) the confirmation email which included their address, so he went to make it at that point. I took it home, and when I opened it up, the sides and toppings were missing from the tacos. Disappointing and really inconvenient. I would NOT recommend.

Hello, today I came to this restaurant with my family, and those who serve are Latinos, so I said, the service will be good because they are from our same culture and unfortunately it was not like that, because after us another table arrived and they were Americans and I look They were served first than us and my wife was still waiting for her drink that she ordered, and when it came time to pay, as it is in their machine, they show you the bill quickly and when I pay I look at why it was so expensive, and of course When he gives me the copy of the receipt I see that for a dessert they were charging me 72 dollars, then the waitress called and told me I think it was the machineThat she did that alone, be very careful, and the attention is really chosen for certain races that they want to serve better...

First time here based on a recommendation from a friend. If I'm in Falls Church I'll seek it out again.

The food was pretty good (cheese enchiladas), service kind of slow we were double charged for one of the entrées, but the server fixed it). Atmosphere was nice; small and well decorated. I would like to try the cocktails - they looked good but I was driving so I didn't have any.

We had a great time with friends here. The ceviche was delicious, as was my wife's chimichanga. Highly recommend.

We really loved this place, but had an unfortunate incident on Christmas Eve where Cuates' website took orders/payment when Cuates was closed. We got in contact and were told we'd get a refund, but I have yet to see my money back. Would love to go back, but won't until my money is refunded./2024: I have not received any refund. We've tried to reach you by telephone today 2x but no one was around to help. It's been over 7 days since we spoke and nearly 10 days since 12/24. I just want a gift card or my money back.

Excellent, authentic food and drinks! I've been here many times and the food, drinks and service have always been consistently amazing! I have had similar food at other places but this place tops my list. The seasoning is on point for everything. The portions are large. Love the tortilla soup and tamales (I'm picky about tamales and this hits the spot) the most but their fajitas are also great to share with a friend.I LOVE their drinks! Mango mojitos (several flavors to choose from), margaritas in several sizes and flavors, frozen drinks, draft and bottled beers and wines. The happy hour is Monday through Friday from 3:00-6:00 PM. They also offer catering and online ordering for individual and group orders or for catering. This is a solid go-to for office and private party catering! They have three locations, and I've been to all of them. That's how much I love their food and drinks. I'm never disappointed. There's also karaoke at their Alexandria Old Town location every Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM - 2:00 AM. It's so fun!If you haven't tried this place, I encourage you to try it. It's great for groups and families. It's always happy and friendly.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian soups and options for other entreesDietary restrictions: They have gluten free and vegetarian optionsKid-friendliness: They have a kid menuWheelchair accessibility: There are a few steps to both doors

BAD MEXICAN FOOD!!! I ate here a few days ago with my family. I have been to hundreds of Mexican restaurants in my life and this one was terrible, I am sorry to be so honest. I ordered tacos and they simply tasted BAD and the burritos were also below average in taste. My 10 year old daughter said it was the worst burrito she has ever eaten. I thought prices were very high and portion sizes were too small. I am not trying to be mean but I will never eat here again. For Mexican food this was Very disappointing! Come here at your own risk!

Read the mixed bag of reviews, but gave it a shot. Call me impressed. Had the Mexican street tacos platter and there wasn't a single morsel of food left on my plate. I'm pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food and there are a ton of average places around here, but by my experience today, this may not be one of them. I got a combination of the steak and al pastor for my 3 tacos. They were served with an amazing hot green sauce, rice and beans, sour cream and pico. All of it was extremely delicious. Looking forward to trying more dishes on the next visit.
