Best margaritas in the whole DMV. Staff are fantastic, friendly, and take time to remember your name if you are regulars. Food is the best. My husband and I have been a number of times and keep coming back. Also a great family friendly atmosphere!

I have a couple of favorite Mexican spots in the area. El Tio gets 5-stars because of the homemade flour tortillas, and always wonderful service. They hire genuinely nice service staff. Food is good too, but I could just eat the tortillas all day and hang with the friendly staff ? (I always sit in the bar area)

A staple for the area! I’ve been going to El Tio’s for multiple decades and have never been disappointed. Chips and Fajitas are always delicious. It’s fed three generations of my family.
Vegetarian options: Veggie fajitas, quesadillas and tacos.
Kid-friendliness: Always have high chairs, and there’s a spare room I can go if the kiddo is having a tough time. They always accommodate with her favorite foods: like avocado.

If you a vegetarian, this place is best avoided. They haven’t yet figured out how to make a vegetarian burrito, unless you want yours to be large pieces of cold veggies wrapped in a tortilla, steer clear of this place.
The ambience is nothing to write home about either. Best to look for other options or be disappointed.
