Not worth the effort, at least that's what the staff makes you feel like they put in, from the cooks to the "servers". Go down the street for a dining experience.

I ordered the smoked salmon breakfast thangy. I dont remember what it was called. The salmon was smoked. It was horrible. I couldn't eat it. It had this rank smell of fish. I had a friend smell it and she said it was spolt. I just took it off and ate the egg and bread underneath.

*Renovation Review*Food was better than average which was surprising being a hotel restaurant. The asparagus was done perfectly. Then again there was no condiments on our table or steak knife for that matter.Watched my martini get warm sitting on the bar, finally got up and got our drinks myself.Very little selection on the menu, would have greatly enjoyed an appetizer with another martini.End of the day, small space, not many tables and the service was slow at best.Going to try the breakfast buffet tomorrow.

We ate here for Breakfast and Dinner. First weekend in august of ‘22.The bagel sandwiches were barley warm and the sausage was bland. The croissant was cold. But we got our food quickly. The buffet is the way to go.Dinner was decent enough. Prices are okay.Tables are almost always full. Haven’t had to wait though. Staff is neglecting. We found what we wanted to order fairly quickly and they didn’t come around for a long time. Our drinks were made and never brought to us. We had to go up and get them ourselves at the bar after waiting 10 minutes. (Our server still haven’t returned.) he filled a couples glass of water at the table adjacent to ours. Ours was empty and he didn’t bother to fill them up. Not observant. We worked all day (at the pen show in hotel) and would like an easy meal. Finally, the food was served! I ordered the Cheddar Bacon Burger w/o the cheese. It came with steak fries. The burger was delicious, Especially considering its hotel food. It was cooked right. Fries came warm, not pipping hot. Could’ve stood to be a bit warmer. Sadly a bit irritating the table did not have any condiments or spices on it. Not even salt and pepper (which the fries could’ve used some more.) The bar is using canned sodas, and doesn’t have any sinks. Needed the bathroom, had to walk halfway back to the room practically.Alas, I would NOT recommend unless you’re tired and don’t feel like going out. If that’s the case, it’s not like you have options. $72 for two people to eat.Seats had wear

The cuisine was top-notch, and the rates were fair for the neighborhood. There were many selections on the menu, including a number of healthful ones.

There are a lot of amazing options to eat in this area that I would choose over Ellipse BUT, they are a really good option for eating at the hotel. My coworkers and I have some rather long days when we stay at this particular Marriott and many nights don't have the energy to go out on the town and eat. Ellipse is a really good in house location with a lot of great options. Their staff is particularly responsive and very personable.

Very good service and crew. The assortment is the traditional continental breakfast. Competitive price. Marriott should invest more in the venue itself this is the only downside. The breakfast buffet missed the traditional salmon.

Had the opportunity for a late-night meal & breakfast before heading for home. For dinner I ordered the salmon with side seasonal veggies instead of potatoes. The hotel desk somehow managed to accurately convey the "no potatoes" part but the kitchen staff missed the side veggies order. I wound up burning my mouth on the veggies (they were so hot) but I enjoyed the meal overall (even if the whole grain mustard & capers were missing). For breakfast, my kids enjoyed HUGE waffles with fruit cups and juice. Sansan was so friendly and kind. She remembered us from the morning before, as I stopped for a venti black coffee with 2 shots of espresso before heading to a funeral. She showed us a photo of her adorable 3 year old grandson and kept telling me how well-behaved my kids were and that she understands about traveling with kids. Upon our return Friday evening, the bar/restaurant was hopping - so it's definitely a place to be for drinks & down time with friends.
