I've been a number of time - the food is always good! The servers are always lovely. The service is always slow. I do recommend, but just be ready to spend some time there.

We booked a private dining room. It was a lovely excluded space. The waiters handled our group deftly despite our group arriving at different times and a few toddlers eating. Food came out very quickly.

We sat out on the patio for coffee and dessert. This place is gorgeous and the food was delicious. I had the tiramisu a million stars. Perfect. Staff were all super helpful and attentive. Parking was slightly tight if you have a large vehicle, but they had plenty of spaces. Will definitely be returning.

Three people for brunch. All three dishes came out separately. I got mine 20-15 minutes before second person. 5 more mins for the third person.

Drove over an hour to visit Godfrey Bakery in Falls Church, only to be disappointed. Arriving at 9:00 PM, we were told they could not serve any hot beverages because the coffee and hot chocolate machines were already turned off - an hour before closing! Truly a waste of time.

Even more frustrating, for anyone avoiding gelatin for dietary or religious reasons, we were informed by the cashier that all desserts contain pork, even if gelatin isn’t listed as an ingredient. This makes the bakery completely unsuitable for vegetarian, kosher, or halal diets.

On top of that, the young Asian lady at the cashier was not particularly friendly or helpful, which only added to the negative experience.

I was accompanied by a friend who is a popular food blogger in the area, and she mentioned she plans to share this experience with her audience.

Sadly, this was a very disappointing visit. Fortunately, there are plenty of other great dessert options nearby - this will not be a place I return to.

We made reservations for the upstairs dining room but when we arrived learned that it was closed and we could only sit on the outside patio. The general vibe was unwelcoming. They gave us the only table available which was in direct sun right next to the driveway. The food seemed reheated - crust on the quiche was tough and the breakfast pizza bland. The mimosas were tiny I'll-proportioned. All in all wasn't the nice brunch we were led to anticipate. Never going back!

Godfrey's is a lovely local spot with good food and outrageously delicious desserts. We were able to sit outside and it was comfortable. I especially like the breakfast and lunch menus.

Nice patio area but parking was very limited on a Saturday morning and the directions to the parking garage across the street was confusing. The server does give you a free drip coffee coupon for the inconvenience. The service is slow and hard to grab the servers' attention although they are nice. I got their quick Lorraine which was ok but the crust wasn't as flaky and didn't seem fresh.

We stayed at the Meeting House Hotel next door and really enjoyed the complimentary muffins, although there was only one option all 3 mornings of our stay. We decided to eat dinner there on Sunday and were surprised to find out that there was no table service on Sundays. We got there at six thirty and we were told that the restaurant closes at eight. We sat in the outside area in the back, and we were told we had to go to the bar to order after having sat there for some time with no attention. The food and desserts are delicious.

Large, multiple spaces to utilize at this hip, French inspired cafe. Speedy and friendly service, fresh and delicious food and creative lattes with beautiful foam art! Great value for the price!

I love Godfrey’s! Have been coming here for about two years now. I will say my last two visits have been disappointing. The service isn’t as good as it once was. I went today and tried to order at the bar. It was right before 2:15 and I asked if I was able to order the Thanksgiving sandwich (my favorite) as they only had the brunch and breakfast options posted at the bar. I was handed an evening menu and was told I’d have to order from there. I stood there about 10-15 minutes waiting to order and never had my order taken. I ended up leaving without purchasing anything and went somewhere else nearby for lunch. Like I said, I love Godfrey’s but since it’s gone viral on social media things have just changed - difficulty parking, packed inside and outside, not as great of service.

This establishment plays very loud music on the weekends, disturbing surrounding neighborhood communities such as Winter Hill. It disturbs my babies sleep. I have called multiple times and no one seems to care. It’s quite rude considering the surrounding townhomes and apartments. Maybe use your indoor facility for entertainment to respect the community???
