Heirloom absolutely killed it at our wedding!!! Elizabeth and team were so professional and on point!! All throughout the planning process, they offered invaluable advice and guidance, working seamlessly with our planner, and were so prepared day of! The food was DELICIOUS and so gorgeously presented - our guests were floored and had only good things to say about the food. And the service was phenomenal! No one was waiting for food or drink.

I especially loved the potstickers, the shaved veggie salad (pictured) and the halibut entree, while my husband loved crab tostada and the filet! The team also accommodated all of our signature requests like our his/hers cocktails, our alcohol selection and doing a cookie table (hometown tradition). We all know guests only notice when things go wrong at weddings and no one said a single bad thing!! Truly, our big day could not have been such an astounding success without Heirloom!!

We had a very disappointing experience working with Little Heirloom as the caterer for our wedding. Eight days before our wedding, LH added a $1,600 charge to our final invoice with no prior notice. This last-minute change reflected the overall pattern we experienced throughout the planning process: frequent and unexplained price increases, inconsistent budget breakdowns, and poor communication from our main point of contact, the Senior Events Associate.

We were told this $1,600 increase was due to not meeting LH’s updated guest minimum, which raised the per-person price from their advertised $120 rate. However, we had provided our final guest count 30 days in advance, as required, and the budget breakdown after that still reflected the $120 per-person pricing for our final guest count number. When we questioned this last-minute price change, the Senior Events Associate told us that their contract allowed for price adjustments in the final invoice. We pointed out that our guest count was above the stated minimum in the pricing packet provided when we signed the contract, but the Senior Events Associate refused to acknowledge this. It was an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional interaction that left us feeling trapped just days before our wedding.

Another frustrating moment was when we asked that our parents receive a little extra attention from servers during the cocktail hour, just so they could enjoy the food and drinks without needing to chase down servers. The Senior Events Associate told us flatly, “no, they will be treated like everyone else.” This response felt unnecessarily rigid and dismissive.

Communication from the Senior Events Associate was inconsistent and often contradictory. She would say one thing over the phone and then follow up with an email that said something different. We asked twice to speak with someone else at LH in hopes of resolving the issues and salvaging the relationship, but the Senior Events Associate said she was the only person who could help us.

The wedding day food and service was much better than expected after all the planning issues. The Captain and on-site team were wonderful—professional, friendly, and responsive. Our guests enjoyed the bartenders, and we appreciated that the Captain ensured our parents were looked after during cocktail hour, which was exactly what we had asked for earlier in the process. However, we did feel that the food did not quite match the quality we experienced at the tasting. Overall, the planning experience was so stressful, especially the final week leading up to the wedding, that I would not recommend LH.

We worked with Elizabeth to plan our wedding catering and rentals through Little Heirloom. She was so easy to work with and the value and quality were exceptional. We were so happy with the wide range of options offered for appetizers, salads, entrees, sides and desserts -- and they even offer specialty cocktails! For reference, we had a 70 person seated dinner with cocktail hour before and a dessert bar at the end.

The food was delicious and unique, and the place settings were gorgeous. I wouldn't change a thing. If you are a couple getting married in the DC area and want fresh, seasonal, creative food that does not feel like your standard wedding menu and won't crush your budget, I would definitely recommend Little Heirloom.

We held a large company reception at Long view Gallery, and Heirloom was our one-stop shop for everything we needed at this event. They provided the food, beverages, A/V, furniture, linens, etc., and the Heirloom team on site helped tremendously with the flow of the event on the day of. We appreciated their professionalism and their efficiency with setting up and taking down the entire room. We heard from many of our guests that they loved the food, and we would definitely recommend Heirloom to others looking for event planners/catering companies.

Heirloom DC was a great choice for my Nearly-Wed celebration! Elizabeth was extremely helpful in selecting the menu and quantities and even supported me with heating lamp rentals. Communication was clear and prompt throughout the process. Overall, I felt supported throughout the event planning and execution process; I would definitely recommend to another bride and groom!

Heirloom Catering was invaluable to the success of our company's DC Open House! They handled everything from nametags and centerpieces to outdoor heating and so much more. The food was amazing, as was the service team. I cannot begin to express my gratitude for all they did. Thank you all so much!!

Heirloom DC is incredible! As an event planner, they are a DREAM, especially Elizabeth Carberry. We worked with Elizabeth, Joe and Heirloom for a wedding in April 2024 at Long View Gallery and their entire team were a delight. They are incredible communicative, team players, solution oriented and a delight to work with. I look forward to working as many events possible with Heirloom. Not only is their customer service top notch but their food is PHENOMENAL. I do really want to shout out Elizabeth who answered every question, was at every walkthrough and also brought a great sense of calm. An incredible team and highly recommend!

The team at Little Heirloom (the sister company of Heirloom DC) was everything that we could have asked for and more. We had a lot of foodies across the wedding party and guest list so getting the caterer right was absolutely key. The curated options gave us a great list to start picking dishes from, but with plenty of options to pick from so our final menu still felt like us. At the reception we got so many compliments on the food and the presentation--it truly was the elevated experience we were hoping for when we first starting looking at caterers.

We used Little Heirloom for our wedding on 5/25/24, and our experience was nothing but exceptional! The food was amazing, and for the price it felt very high end and was good quality. People always say how brides and grooms go hungry on their wedding day because of how busy they are - but Little Heirloom had servers to offer us food throughout the day and during photos. Awesome experience, and Elizabeth was helpful + responsive throughout the whole process!

From a tasty and diverse range of small bites to elaborately and beautifully displayed food stations, Elizabeth and the Heirloom team did an outstanding job! Their attention to detail and customer service made me feel comfortable throughout the entire planning phase and their execution was flawless.

I was blown away by the catering that Heirloom provided at a recent event I attended. The spread was not only visually appealing but also delicious, with a variety of bites that perfectly complemented the atmosphere. The catering truly elevated the event, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Their food and service are awesome, everyone liked it. They catered in our school and the smell and aroma were so nice❤️defently will go with them ☺️

My siblings gave me the job of planning and holding my Mom’s 90th birthday. Heirloom catering took care of it all! Not only was my Mom (a very tough customer :)) thrilled with the sit-down dinner, but my siblings were satisfied. From the flowers, linens, tables and chairs, Heirloom took care of it all. The food was fabulous. I would heartily recommend Heirloom for all one’s catering needs.

We used Heirloom's sister company, Little Heirloom, for our wedding celebration at the end of December 2023. The cocktail hour menu was to die for. We unfortunately didn't get to have any day of because of timing and not wanting to mess up makeup with having to floss before pics. So Brides/Bridal party - try to figure out how you can get some of this before! We got sooooo many compliments on both the food we chose for our cocktail hour and for our plated dinner service. They also provided very nice rentals (plates, glassware, silverware, tablecloths and napkins). Highly recommend!
