The owner could not have been nicer and the food taste was really good. Compliments to the chef. Location of shopping center is unassuming and the restaurant can use a little face lift, but the food and service was excellent. One of the best Lobster Ravioli's I've had.

Every time we visit Idylwood Grill, we fall more in love with the place. It's one of those hidden gems you rarely find these days. A mom and pop restaurant with food that tastes like mom, pop or grandma made. It's soooo delicious. During this visit we had the Calamari appetizer (cooked to the perfect crispness), lobster ravioli and duck breast risotto. Both entrees had the perfect temperature, texture and tasted just like mom had popped out of the kitchen on the spot. Very fresh and delicious. For dessert we had Tiramisu and Creme Brulee. Kudos to their pastry chef because they're the best we've ever had. Don't ever leave without tasting their desserts. We plan to be back for their Thanksgiving Dinner since we found out they will be open.

We ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was clearly out of a box as were the sauces..awful. My husband‘s steak, which was supposed to be medium, came out rare, and then when we sent it back, it came back well done as if it had been thrown in the microwave. My seafood pasta was chewy and the seafood was cold, but mixed in with the hot pasta and gummy sauce. The waitress never checked on us after the food returned. We literally had to flag her down for the bill. They were stains on the ceiling tiles and plastic table tops. I don't know why I pay attention to reviews when it's very clear that the staff wrote all of the reviews for this place. We contacted the restaurant and haven't heard back. DO NOT EAT HERE! Very expensive for this level of food, which was obviously cooked by a high schooler.

First time here after reading reviews. As an Italian and European , found this restaurant very inconsistent. No one to greet you with reservations. Very very rushed service. Constantly asking “ do you know what you want “. Appetizers and entree out back to back and very quickly. Beef was very tough/overcooked. Salad fair. Mixed grill small for the price. Overpriced and poor coffee and expresso. When paying bill , they were unwilling to our $30 discount. Saying “ internet not working g to use app”. Did not offer any assistance at all. Overall , will not be back as we hated being rushed with expensive food. And no acceptance of shown $30 discount coupon.

Cozy atmosphere- a little on the noisy side but the place was full. Food was awesome. Accommodating for non dairy substitutions. Located near where Whole Foods used to be, but difficult to figure out where to turn in. Parking lot is a bit tight for anyone with a large suv. No one in our party drank, but seems like a well balanced selection of wines. Will definitely go again.

dylwood Grill & Wine Bar is solid. Food was flavorful and portions were generous — the steaks were cooked perfectly. Great selection of wines, and the staff made everything easy and relaxed. Perfect spot for a chill dinner.

Small intimate restaurant. A bit aged. But the character is palatable. Food is above average
To be fair I've only tried one dish. First time there. Will return.

Did noIt enjoy the food at all. One dish came out cold. The Caesar dressing was like a thin watery dressing w little flavor and soggy lettuce. Service was fine. Will not be back.

Deliciously crafted food, family environment and lovely staff. Mushroom risotto, Cajun tilapia and lamb shank were all wonderful. Warm bread and the white bean soup were so good. Food made with care

So we read the reviews on the restaurant and the photos of the restaurant looked great! When we arrived it was in a small strip mall behind a larger strip mall, which seemed a little odd. As we entered the restaurant only had one party in there and the decorations were eclectic and we had dead flowers next to our table. So we had a few concerns and we thought should we leave for another restaurant. Talk about misjudging a book by its cover!!! Had we left, we would have missed an incredibly delicious meal! Two of us had the Caesar salad and it was perfect. For dinner we had lamb shank with risotto and a salmon almond. Wow. The food was beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we will become regulars and we live 40 minutes away! You want a beautifully designed menu, I suggest you visit Idylwood Grill and Wine Bar!

Every visit to Idylwood Grill & Wine Bar feels like being whisked away to a candle-lit corner in Florence. The ambiance is sultry and elegant—dim lights, soft jazz, the clink of wine glasses—absolutely the kind of place that makes you want to linger over conversation and a perfectly poured glass of red.

Their mussels are divine, swimming in the most aromatic broth, and the beef bourguignon is slow-cooked perfection—rich, tender, and incredibly comforting. Pair it with a bold Italian wine and it’s pure magic.

The staff moves with quiet confidence, always attentive yet never intrusive, and the whole atmosphere has an effortless sophistication that’s hard to find anywhere else. It’s classy, a little bit sultry, and consistently unforgettable. My go-to escape in Falls Church when I want to feel transported, pampered, and perfectly fed. 🍷💫

Idlywood Grill is a great place for a delicious meal in a quiet atmosphere. Service is excellent. There is a good selection of wines and desserts. There are several salmon dishes on the menu. I've tried them all and they are all good. The branzino is very good, as is the chicken schnitzel.

Delicious food. Great service. And it's chef-owned. We come here for all of our family celebrations and more.
