This quickly became one of my DC-area go-tos, and a family favorite. I truly appreciate that they do Chinese home cooking authentically while providing less ‘scary’ options so I can invite my less adventurous foodie friends to enjoy as well. The variety of offerings is impressive, they actually make things hot when I ask them to (one of the few restaurants that isn’t scared to do so!), and the decor is just icing on the cake. I really do love this place. Xie xie! :)
We’ve been dining at Jasmine Garden since they opened about 18 years ago. You know what, the flavor remains delicious, if not better. Talking about those authentic traditional Chinese dishes, especially the Jasmine Hot Spicy Fish Fillet, Shredded Beef with Chili Pepper, they are out of the world. You can tell the owner cares about the food quality. Warm and friendly service, it’s my family go to place for authentic Chinese food.
Jasmine Garden was excellent for dinner this evening. The chinese menu had some new dishes we really enjoyed such as the fried shrimp w egg yolk and our long time favorites dried tofu w bamboo shoots, three flavored chicken, eggplant basil, shredded beef w chilis, and mapo tofu fish. The service is friendly, warm and helpful, and when the restaurant is crowded, you need to be patient as the service staff balances the demands.
