Hands down the best Thai food in the area especially for pan fried noodle dishes like Drunken Noodle and Pad See Ew! You get that nice wok fry flavor and char on the noodles that gives the dish the unique Thai street food taste. The chicken empanadas are a great appetizer! If you are a fan of pork belly, I’d totally recommend getting the pork belly w/ Chinese broccoli over rice dish and order a side of curry sauce to pour over the rice! I also highly recommend the Panang curry. The restaurant is very small and super casual but id def recommend every time!

I’ve been eating here for many years because I love the Khao Soi, it tastes exactly like it does in Chiang Mai. But I visited the other day and was really disappointed. The servings have gotten smaller and the prices have gone up. Usually the bowl is loaded with pickled veggies and a large portion of noodles. When I mixed the bowl around, it felt empty. I told the server that it didn’t feel like there were many noodles in the bowl and she replied that this is the normal amount they put. But it’s really not because I immediately noticed the difference from last year. I asked about the veggies and she said it’s already mixed in but I didn’t see them. I asked for more pickles on the side. The soup still tasted good but I left still feeling hungry which was a first for me.

Stumbled upon this absolute gem while exploring Eden Center. All four dishes we got: tofu pad Thai, beef drunken noodles, beef boat soup and pork belly with green beans, were amazing! This is the definition of a hole in the wall and we are so grateful we found it! We are already planning our next trip!

Kao Sarn is by far the best Thai restaurant in Northern Virginia. Although the restaurant is a small hole in the wall (much of their business seems to be carry out) the food is absolutely delicious. They have a ton of vegan/vegetarian options - every dish I have tried is super yummy.

Quaint little restaurant with great food and vee friendly staff. The (owner?) was extremely kind and explained many menu options both before, and after the meal for my next visit.I git the Tom yum soup which had a phenomenal broth! Will definitely be back to try their other dishes.
