Another excellent addition to the local ramen scene, Kyuramen has many types of broth to satisfy any palate. If you can't have anything pork-related, they gotchoo covered with vegetable broth and chicken broth. I had the apicy Tonkotsu and it was great. A little underwhelming with heat, I definitely added some of the hot chili powder at the table to kick it up a notch. Will definitely be back.

The food is bad here. If you're Japanese or have been to Japan and you are accustomed to the Japanese food and quality don't come here. We got the Tonkatsu Omurice (which was at least 30$) and when it came...the tonkatsu was flavorless and tasted like it had been frozen for a year and than thawed just now. The omurice tasted just bad, the sauce did not compliment anything and the rice tasted off. But, the Thai Tea was good but it's a drink and you can't really go wrong with that. We also ordered a pork bao bun, the seasoning tasted trashy as well. For a meal well over 40$ I would rather go to McDonald's. At least their meat tasted halfway decent. But if you want to go for the instagram pictures and nothing else, the restaurants interior is nice and so are the servers.

These pics are from a while back when they first opened this location a few months ago, the hype and lines for Kyuramen was STRONG due to the DMV Foodies on social media promoting this place, and it still is! We got the following: Ika Geso Kara-age, Fried Squid Fried Potato Shrimp Tonkatsu Curry Ramen Classic Omurice with Demi Glace The Fried Squid and Fried Potato Shrimp appetizers were delicious: not overly greasy, really nice crispy textures on the batter, good flavors, presentation is also really nice especially on the potato shrimp! The Tonkatsu Curry Ramen is the most expensive ramen on the menu last I recall, and I definitely did enjoy it. Really good curry broth, the noodles were on the thicker side and had a nice chew to it, and the tonkatsu was tasty and still slightly crispy! The Omurice with Demi Glace is the main item that everyone takes photos of and posts on social media, definitely the most hyped up item, but how does it taste? In my opinion it was a bit overhyped, the demi-glace is light on flavor, and so is the rice itself. The presentation is definitely great, and the server cuts it open at the table which a great photo op for sure! Perhaps the curry sauce would've tasted better on the omurice than the demi-glace. Service was great, there's usually a line due to how popular the location is, but they seated us promptly when our table was ready, and the servers were attentive! The aesthetics of the place with their honeycomb frames around the seat and warm lighting is definitely iconic, it's great that we finally have a Kyuramen in the DMV!

Food - below average. Ramen was okay; tonkatsu pork omurice with demi glaze sauce was a regret - pork was tasteless and was overpowered by deep fried breading, sauce was way too much and overpowered the egg and rice; popcorn chicken was way too salty, dry and had almost like jerk texture; gyoza and chicken bao buns were huge disappointment. We left the place hungry and completely disappointed for spending our time and wasting more than $120! Not gonna go there again. Service - good Ambience - good

The vibes of this place were just great. The menu had unique options and I definitely want to come back and try new things. I highly recommend the pork bao buns! The presentation of everything was spectacular and our ramen came out really fast. Can’t wait to be back. Make sure to reserve a table because sometimes there is a wait time.

Good place for ramen. I tried Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen, popcorn chicken, and octopus balls for the first time there. Flavor of ramen is very good, I can say the best around there. The decoration looks both traditional and modern. Love this place, and will come back to try other ramen.

The flavor-packed broth, made with care and attention to detail, is the star of the show. Pair it with their deliciously chewy noodles and you're in for a treat. The laid-back atmosphere adds to the overall

Their ramen is a testament to simplicity done right - every component shines on its own while coming together harmoniously in the bowl. The thick, flavorful broth and springy noodles keep me coming back for more.

Food was not really good but okayBut the manager(i assume she’s a manager) she was being so rude, she didn’t even reply or do something when i was asking some napkins and checks to payShe seems like getting annoyed, but actually I did nothingAnd she even ignored me when i was going outside and said thank you to herOverall bad weird experience lolThis restaurant, customers have to pay for the meal and currying favor with the manager’s feeling at the same timeWoWw

Now that the hype has somewhat died down, ramen enthusiasts like me can return and enjoy a bowl of ramen without the crazy wait times. Initially, the restaurant didn't handle crowd control well in their early months. There was no waitlist system, making it hard to justify waiting a couple of hours just for a bowl of ramen. But now that the curious crowd has dispersed, I've come back a few times to check the consistency of the flavor and to see if it might become my go-to spot for ramen. For this visit, we ordered the Classic Omurice Combo with curry sauce and the Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu. The Omurice Combo really stood out. We chose curry sauce over demi glace, which was a great decision – the curry sauce seemed to have more depth and paired better with the dish, in our opinion. The egg was cooked to perfection, not too thick and not too runny. The Amazing Lemonade drink with cucumber added to the experience, being refreshing and elevating the taste to another level. The Spicy Kyushu Tonkotsu was also impressive. It featured thin slices of pork chashu, similar to my favorite ramen place in NYC. The smoky flavor of the chashu was excellent, adding aroma and depth to the dish. The slightly salty seaweed, along with the soft, sweet bamboo shoots, made for a good combination, enhancing the dish's flavor. The marinated egg, with its balanced taste and just-right cooking, was another highlight.Overall, Kyuramen delivered a memorable meal, with each element of the dishes complementing one another beautifully. The flavor has remained consistent during my recent visits, really standing out. This makes it not only the top spot on my ramen list in VA but also probably my second favorite spot overall in the East Coast. What sets Kyuramen apart is that it's the only ramen place in Northern Virginia that gives you the authentic feel of a ramen store. Sitting at the bar and watching the ramen-making process is a unique experience that adds to the charm. It’s definitely worth visiting for anyone who enjoys a mix of well-prepared flavors and dishes.

Cool interior design. The ramen is good and flavorful. I'm a fan of the condiments on the table but not a fan of the need to use it for the egg and rice. Service was attentive.

Highly recommend coming to Kyuramen. I came on a much needed date with my sister. We got here at 1055am. We were the only ones here and the staff was very welcoming and smiled at us as soon as we entered the restaurant. They offered us to sit in the honeycomb sitting and we couldn't resist. It's so cute! Our server Roberto was very attentive and gave us an overview of the menu. He mentioned that the kitchen was just opening so it might take a while for our food be ready. We placed our order and the food was at our table in less than 15m. The kitchen team was on it!!! Everything was 11/10!! Can't wait to come back. We got: Pan fried gyoza, Thai tea, the beef teriyaki burger with sweet potato fries, and chicken bao bun

Roberto is a kind and friendly server. He was very patient with us. The Ramen was also very delicious. My family has recommended this place and been here many times.
